The room we booked was not as we expected, and was very cramped and tiny and stuffy and bathroom even more so. Luckily they had a bigger, better room at a higher price available and upstairs and airy and we were happy with that.

Location was good if you didn't mind traffic. Close to all things. Had laundry service. Staff helped with luggage and dropped us at bus terminal.

The mattress is more solid than the walls If you had a late night noisy neighbour, you would be disturbed by them. There again it’s not that sort of hostel

The location was great, near the walking street, but not on a loud street. It is definitely a quiet hostel. The owners make up for lack of English fluency with friendliness. Really likeable people Everything worked though I didn’t try the aircon as Pai in January really doesn’t need it There was a breakfast of coffee, biscuits and banana

I had a wonderful stay at Happy in Pai! The location was fantastic—perfectly situated to explore Pai while still being a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The WiFi worked flawlessly, and the air conditioning kept the room cool and comfortable, even during the hottest parts of the day. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. Their kindness and attention to detail truly stood out and made my stay memorable. That said, the bathroom could have been better. The toilet seat was loose, and the bathroom door didn’t close properly, which was a minor inconvenience. It also could have been a little cleaner, but since I wasn’t there long, it wasn’t a big issue. Overall, Happy in Pai offers a great location, a very fair price during high season, and a caring staff that makes you feel at home. Despite the minor bathroom issues, I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again!

I had an absolutely delightful stay at Happy in Pai! The location was fantastic—conveniently situated to explore everything Pai has to offer while still being a peaceful retreat. Their hospitality truly elevated the experience. For the price during high season, this stay was absolutely worth every penny. The value, comfort, and service exceeded my expectations. If you're visiting Pai and looking for a well-located, comfortable place to stay with excellent service, I highly recommend Happy in Pai!

Unfortunately we were less than disappointed with our room, we have paid similar prices for far better accommodation whilst travelling SEA. The room was extremely run down with cobwebs and spiders in every corner and the smell in the room was awful. The room was also very small, we couldn’t open our suitcases on the floor fully.

The location of the property was great and the laundry service was exceptional, they wash, dry and give it back in the same day! The bed itself was comfortable with perfectly clean sheets. The shower also ran very hot which was nice.

The wifi wasn't strong enough to work the tv. The tv had netflix but couldn't be worked. The wifi wasn't even strong enough for our phones.

Got a bigger room for the double bed but was given 2 single beds instead.

Renting a bike was so easy!! Only 150 a day and didn’t require a deposit or ID. Staff were helpful, and the shower was nice and hot.

The bathroom was tiny, the shower head was right above the toilet so everything would get wet. The noise from the street was disturbing, so as the noise from the staff. They talked very loudly right outside my room and woke me up, no consideration at all. When I stayed at this place there was a huge power cut in Pai for two days, which is obviously out of their control, but when the power came back to most of the areas in town this hotel still didn’t have electricity. I asked to use the owners phone for a phone call because I had no internet during the power cut but she refused and laughed at my face saying I can go buy a local SIM card. I booked the room for 2 nights in advance but I took off as soon as I could. Wouldn’t recommend.

The location was great, just a few minutes walk from the walking street. The room wasn’t so big but perfect for a solo traveler. It felt clean.

Had to stay in a fan room on the first night as the ac was getting maintenance... Oh well sh*t happens. Luckily Pai has a nice climate.

The bathroom had barely been cleaned, mold and ants on the floor and walls. We were there for 2 nights and figured it wasn't worth kicking up a fuss about it at the time, but I wish I said something to the owners to make them aware. Just the overall cleanliness of the room was just non existent, basic wiping of flat surfaces hadn't been done. Holes in the mosquito window covers deeming them redundant. Noise coming from other guests with no consideration (obviously out of owners control).

Location was great as it was a short walking distance to the main streets. Able to park our bikes under cover from the rain. Quiet area, but noisy people in the rooms beside and above could be hears.
