The dorm was clean at first glance, but not clean around the bed (next to the matras, above the matras from the top bunk). I had allergies, I only get in rooms not clean. Like mentioned: I could not have stayed here longer then one day. Downstairs there is a special smell.

I changed from the dorm to the private room. Price double, but I would not have stayed in the dorm. This rating is from the private room. The private room is very spacious and bright. Worth it. The use of the swimming pool next door is great.

It was in a really good location and the room was super spacious and nicely furnished. The couple who owns the place are so sweet and accomodating and the price was very good value for money. Plus the dorm rooms make it a great spot for backpackers!! I would definitely go back. Also you are allowed to use the rooftop pool at the hostel next door which is very nice and 100% a plus.

The family who run this hotel were the loveliest people ever - they couldn’t do enough for us. Everything about this place goes the extra mile from the swan towels on our bed to the free beach towels and aloe Vera when I got burned!

They don’t have a shared kitchen so if you need that it would be an issue. But everything else was great to me.

Loved my stay there, the owners are so friendly and help you out with everything you need. The room was small for 4 was small, but I was sharing with only one more guest so it was fine because of that. It is in a great location and near the main two beaches in the area. The bathroom and room were clean and they also provided a great laundry service.

Loved the location, close to everything but tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac. The room was super comfortable , the bed was huge, and the fridge was stocked with lots of bottled water. The family who run this are so helpful and obviously love what they do , always a smile on their faces 😍 They organised my transfer to Phi phi at a fraction of the cost on any website, and the company were reliable.

It is not directly at the beach and you have to walk a bit, but it is okay as you pass many shops :-)

It was already my 2nd time:-) The rooms are so nice and it is placed in a quiet street but just around the nightmarket. All are very very friendly and helpfull with everything. Thanks again :-) and seeing you next time!

The couple that run the place were so kind and helpful. They were always available to help book trips or sort things out you felt like one of the family. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was so clean and the pool next door was lovely with some good restaurants close by. Would highly recommend

Facilities were above basic but are a little dated which require a bit of modernisation.

Property in fantastic location to Kata beach and all the bars and restaurants. Easy to get to and easy to find. The facilities are just above basic and are quite dated however this is a hostel more than a hotel. The bed was comfy and although basic was enough for me and my partner who were barely in the room. Staff are lovely and is a proper family run place and are more than happy to help you.

It was quiet, especially in comparison with beachfront and roadfront hotels, but i still recommend earplugs because the wind entering the alley makes a lot of noise at night.

Very nice managers, cheerful, helpful and polite. Clean and beautiful rooms. Comfortable beds. About 12-15 mins walk to the beach, which is no issue at all. Restaurants, pharmacy, 7/11, all nearby.

The only sour note was the private tour of Hong island that Pattama organised through Phairat Tours. Do NOT use this company. We left our Snorkel gear on the boat and within 10 minutes we realised and had the driver call the captain who confirmed that he had it and they would return it that night. When we didn’t receive it a second call was made and again they confirmed they had our snorkel equipment and they would return it the next morning. In the morning a third call was made and all of a sudden they didn’t have our snorkel equipment. Phairat Tours are untrustworthy, unethical and liars and should be avoided at all costs. This is not a reflection on Aonang Lodge but the tour company - Phairat Tours.

Pattama and Lawrence were great hosts and went out of their way to organise tours / transfers, scooter rental and made recommendations. The location is away from hustle and bustle so perfect for us but a quick tuk tuk or 20-30 minutes walk will get you there. Beautiful view of the limestone cliffs is an added bonus.

The beautiful hosting couple are super friendly and welcoming. They are doing their best to make guests feel at home. I so much enjoyed the clean swimming pool and had a wonderful night sleep. Comfy and large beds! Super calm and far from the noisy crowds. Will defo visit next year
