We didn't realise the hotel is on a steep site and our room was right at the top so it was a bit of a trek after a long day in the sun. Manageable though unless you've got any mobility issues or are older generation. The breakfast was quite basic for the class of hotel and once certain things were gone towards the end of breakfast they wouldn't replace them. The hotel is starting to need some maintenance and upkeep in some areas. The balustrade on our balcony had given way which would have been really dangerous for a young child but the staff seemed concerned when I mentioned it at checkout so I'm sure it will be fixed.

The hotel grounds are lovely and well kept, the rooms are really big which was lovely and the bathrooms huge with a big bath. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Beautiful pool with very comfortable sun beds and always enough (no fighting to get a bed). The beach was beautiful and really chilled again with plenty of sunbeds.

It is not often that i post reviews, but this hotel is exceptional and like having your own piece of paradise. Beautiful beach, lovely pool, no night noise, great accommodation, lovely food ... and the staff in every area were amazing and a massive credit to the hotel. I extended my stay at the hotel because of this for a further 10 nights.

Decor could be updated easily and parts of the resort feel a little dated. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss on timing and how thorough they were.

Great location right on the beach and in a quieter part of the beacg, good breakfast offering and facilities like the pool area and gym. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, no real complaints during our stay. Would recommend and would stay again!

We loved our stay here. The staff were so amazing, always going above and beyond - driving us down to the beach, asking if we needed anything and helping us out. The pool area is amazing, great bar and restaurant attached to it and I personally loved the massage on the beach hut. The extra touches of the volleyball net and books and toys for the pool were a great idea. Breakfast had a brilliant selection and it was great to have a person making eggs to order! The room was big and lovely and clean. The setting was brilliant. Can’t fault the stay or property. Just bring earplugs and an eye mask if you’re a light sleeper as the wildlife wakes up early!

The room was missing a big main lightsource - it's a bit dark in the evening/night. There are some ants finding their way into the room - which is to be expected being surrounded by jungle. But some might don't like that.

Good location with plenty of restaurants and things to see nearby. There is also a private beach. It does seem a bit older but it's clean and our room was very spaceious and pretty. The staff was very nice and attentive.

Its very dated, needs a paint on the outside and a completely new refit of the breakfast and bar area. They need to update the photos on social media as ifs misleading as this was the place about 20 years ago. Same with the video in the room.

Beautiful beach and pool. The staff are amazing. The beds could be a little more comfortable. Not a huge amount in that area in terms of walking a short distance - plenty of food and massage options though. Short bike ride - 2 mins to anywhere you need to go!

We paid a little extra and booked the beach front villa what an amazing place just how i dreamed a beach holiday in thailand would be. We where traveling around and this was one of our favourite places of the hole trip we even extended it an extra night. The staff where exceptional and could not do enough for you.

-There were many stray dogs on the beach. -We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, but it didn’t meet our expectations, especially my husband’s burger. -Since breakfast wasn’t included in our stay, we took a quick look at the buffet. However, it seemed quite limited, so we decided not to have breakfast there.

-The room was spacious, featuring a large bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. -The hotel’s beachfront was well-maintained and clean. -The staff was very helpful in organizing a day activity for us.

A little bit dated, but it didn’t affect our stay.

The location on the beach, good sea, very attentive and kind staff, always willing to help, good food (breakfast and lunch/dinner at the pool restaurant). A few restaurants around. Special thanks to Pim from the restaurant who made lovely every breakfast for our daughter.

We stayed for 10 nights which meant the food offering became a little limited, however many places outside. The cottages are a little old and could do with a spruce of furniture, in particular the outdoor seating which is not that comfortable. However we were not looking for a 5 Star chain resort and it did not impact our stay too much.

We researched where to stay which catered for adults wanting relaxation and teenagers. This resort met the spec. The resort is idyllic. The beach and pool area is stunning. The gym, pool table, canoes and volleyball met the teenagers needs. The staff are helpful and happy to assist. The resort is well laid out and some Thai authenticity remains.

cleaning of the villa. Sometimes it was very late and sometimes towels were missing. Also, I would have appreciated some basic watersports equipment such as stand up padel or similar.

we had a beachfront villa and it was really nice and spacious and had all the facilities. Bed was very comfi. Breakfast was good. Location of the property was good (not too much in the middle of the happening places) and the gardens very cozy and well maintained.

The staff were exceptional at New Star Beach Resort. They are a huge credit to the resort. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The beach is absolutely stunning.
