The upstairs downstairs style room balconys didn't have ANY view, which wasn't clear from the pictures. You look right at a facilities building. So make sure you choose a different view if you want the view.

The facilities were clean and worked well, the staff was friendly and helpfull and the pool was adorable. Right across from the beach!

The neighbourhood is great but touristy. As a result many of the stores and restaurants were closed out of season leaving the area feeling a bit abandoned at times. I also thought the food in the immediate area was average and over-prices. None of these are directly related to the room but should be taken into account.

The room was a good size for the price. It was clean, modern and the bed and linen were very comfortable. The room had a good sized balcony with a table and 2 chairs. It had a great view of the ocean and activities in the street below. There is a pub directly below the room which really added to the vibe and had well prices beers and free pool.

The whole place is in need of an overhaul and update. Tired and tatty buildings and facilities. Saw a large rat running past near my door. Would not stay here again.

Good location near beach and restaurants. 10 min walk to night market. Swimming pool was welcome but a tad tatty and tired looking. Had a pool side bar for snacks and drinks.

You have to stand on the bed to adjust the fan speed and this is a fall risk.

Incredible views from a light and airy room. Super clean. Loved the reading lamps. Excellent location: close to 7/11s and restaurants. I've stayed several times and can't wait to stay again.

The pool advertised is quite small and not a great aspect, but you are made to feel welcome and adequate if you dont fancy the beach and the sand but just want to chill. Pool bar also does reasonable food and drink selection.

Room size and location, balcony with view to the pier and all the activities on the pier was excellent. Short walk to night market, beaches, Hua Hin Station and slightly longer walk 20-30 mins to Market Village and Soi 94 for sports bars and live music bars.

Super thin walls means you hear everything happening in the next room. The area is also very touristy with massage parlours and weed shops everywhere. That might be your thing though. The hotel is great, I just wish it was somewhere else.

Lovely big family room, overlooking the pool. Great spot close to the beach and plenty of restaurants and bars. Walking distance to the night market and beach.

Note that in our room you had to walk up some reasonably steep stairs to get to the bedroom; not an issue for us but might be for some. We loved our room.

The location of Mandarin Lodge is excellent. It's in the old part of town and there's plenty to do nearby, with a very short stroll to the beach which is just across the road, as well as the Friday night food market on the pier. It's a quirky little place but that's why we loved it. Fans and air con worked really well together. The pool is great to come home to after a hot day.

I only stayed 1 night, but everything was good. Great location near the fishing pier. I liked the traditional building, and the room had a nice, small balcony. The sister hotel, karoon guest house is just opposite.

Had a room next to the road, nice to sit on the balcony, but cars and bikes coming by 24/7, sometimes difficult to sleep. Caught between leaving the door open for the heat and closing it for the noise... Massive mosquito problem.

Good location, walking distance to most things I wanted. Clean. Nice pool area. Liked the old school wooden aesthetic (new sheets and towels however are needed!).

Location. Not near beach as suggested in photos. Nearest beach was a construction site. Pool was small and used a a drinking hole by other guests; not a nice place to relax. Quite noisey but that was also down to type of clientele.

I loved this place. It is lovely eclectic mix of architecture in an eclectic area near the waterfront. The room was clean, I had a nice deck and the pool was a quiet oasis away from the numerous bars a few blocks away.
