How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe villa was very clean, well-organized, and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent — close to everything.
The only issue was the mosquitoes when sitting by the pool, but the hotel already provides sprays, body repellent, and coils, so they are doing their best.

Verified reviewThe perfect villas for couples that want more privacy. The atmosphere of the whole place is amazing it’s so beautiful. The staff are the best staff i have seen in any hotel. The rooms are perfect, the bed is very comfortable it’s always clean. This place just makes you feel relaxed and at peace as soon as you step foot there.
Sometimes it’s hard to get a taxi at a reasonable price when you want to get back to the hotel from somewhere like Patong or Old town Phuket.

Verified reviewCentrally located down a quiet street in Kata. Minutes from town by foot and minutes to the beach. The property is clean and modern and the photos were accurate. Breakfast menu was vast and prepared well enough but not excellent. Cold cuts stale. Way to much vinegar in poached eggs. Sausages poor quality. Little things but certainly acceptable.
The staff were overall delightful However, the Pilipino front desk who showed us to our room with the barrage of rules and condescending explanation of how not to burn the sofa with a cigarette was a really really bad start. It is such a shame that after a long journey to enjoy the beautiful thai culture one is instead met with Pilipino canned and insincere condescending “ hospitality”

Verified reviewThe staff here are amazing, attentive and genuine. Private pools in the rooms ‘compounds’ were great on a hot day. And the resorts grounds are immaculately maintained. Beach is a short walk away, easy to take a tuk tuk over the hill to different beaches, sites to visit are not far away
Only two things and I think it’s a personal preference or maybe a cultural thing? The mattress on the bed was very firm as are the couches

Zero storage to unpack suitcase, therefore live out of suitcase - No wardrobes or drawers. Buffet selection of food is decent. Hot food clearly prepared in advance and then prepared to order. More than once food brought out within 2 minutes and was served cold. Lack of privacy between outside pool and shower area/bathroom - no screening whatsoever. Mosquitos an issue but they do their best to spray room daily.

The food is unbelievable, the breakfast is sublime so many options....please try their pineapple daiquiri....best I've ever had. Room service was exceptional....you have turn down service I swear this place is just unbelievable. You are a 2 min walk from a night market and 7/11 the beach is about 8mins away location is perfect

Verified reviewBeautiful villa with private pool, very tranquil but only 3 minutes walk to the busy road with all the restaurants and bars. The villa was superb, supreme luxury and comfort, a fabulous base to relax after spending 5 weeks touring South East Asia. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Kata beach was very busy but we walk for 15 minute to Kata Noi which was lovely and quiet, well worth the walk.
When requesting a late check out as our flight was early evening the charge would have been £135, half a days rate, we declined. A little flexibility would have been appreciated, after all we didn't arrive ourselves until the evening, and paid strong money for a 5 night stay. We were however able to leave our bags, and use a shower room to get changed for the airport.

Verified reviewFantastic stay. Great location, excellent villa, clean, aesthetic, spacious, and very luxurious. Breakfast was great and halal options are plenty. Mosquito repellents, sprays, net, and humidifiers were all available and made the stay better. Staff were 10/10 and would definitely do this again.
Would be good to add a curtain in the bathroom facing the pool just in case someone requires more privacy.

I didn't like the attitude in the restaurant, I wanted to take breakfast to my husband's room - they refused! This is not how good hotels behave! It just happened on the last day, it was never an obstacle before.
