How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI would 100% recommend to stay here. The whole place exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect as the surrounding countryside and views were so beautiful and pure peace and tranquility. Its around 10 minutes drive into the central area of chiang dao and 10-20 minutes drive to local attractions, cafes, restaraunts and mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in 1 hour early as soon as we arrived. The staff brought fresh towels and refilled our free minibar and snacks on the second morning. They arranged for our free breakfast to be ready at a time of our choice in cafe on site which was a delicious traditional pork ric soup, fresh fruit and a coffee of our choice. The glamping pods and outdoor space was large, modern and clean. The only downside was the kettle dodnt have the correct plug adaptor but this was a minor inconvenience. The surrounding gardens and river were beautifully maintained. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, beautiful, and value for money as well as a great base to explore chiang dao then this is the place

Verified reviewnice setting, comfortable Hurt , beautiful landscaping clean room and clean shower.
in hospitability business clear communication is the key. Staying at the above property isolated from small village . The only possibility to have lunch or dinner was the onsite restaurant. Most of the dishes published on the menu were not available. In this case perhaps property owner can issue a menu form prior to arrive to property for guest to choose and book a meal in advance.

Verified reviewGreat location, such a delightful resort. As a boutique farm stay owner myself, I thought they had done such a wonderful job with the property. It is not easy to maintain such a place in a forest but they have done a fantastic job.
The staff members speak little or no English, but we got around that with a google translator.

Verified reviewAbsolutely stunning place nestled in nature and a river flowing by the cottages. The cottage itself was spacious enough for 2 people and it was very clean and cosy including a lot of amenities and the bathrooms were very nice too. Stayed here for 3 nights, but mostly it was raining as we came in the wrong season. Sleeping at night with the sounds from the river flow was really relaxing. Lovely view of the mountains and fields from the cafe. Overall service was excellent during our stay and will definitely come here again for another stay in a better season.
The breakfast menu had few options and communication in English was a bit of an issue with the person at the cafe but he still tried his best. On the last day, we were told only the Thai breakfast was available as he had run out of items for the English breakfast. But this didnt bother us as there were many places within a 10 minute drive to have food or coffee.

Verified reviewI recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!

Verified reviewWe loved our stay in the dome! Our balcony and tub overlooked a waterfall. The property is beautiful and Bam Bam was so helpful driving us to the bus station and making sure we had everything we needed.
