Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The girl in the reception is not really helpful, it seems like she doesn't want to be there, any questions you have she doesn't know how to answer even though she's local, shower pressure is the worst, from 5 showers only 2 work properly and still it was not good.

If I have to say one bad thing, it would be that we saw a cockroach in the room, though the room was very clean and was cleaned daily. Take it as part of the Thai experience :)

umbrella for the terrace would be a nice addition.
awesome hostel justo outside of old city. near all amenities like 711, local food, laundry, cafes.. has the best lockers of any hostel tonnes of space both indoor and outside. ideal for digital nomads

The toilet room is a bit lack of privacy. The water pressure in bathroom is very low. I feel it would be better to provide free water at the reception, it's what It is in Bangkok and Chiang mai.
The room, the bathroom and the toilet is clean. I like the rooftop rest room and the terrace. It's quite convenient to go to the old city and there is a 7-11 around the corner nearby.

Staff: Super friendly and helpful — always ready with local tips, tour bookings, and transport advice. Cleanliness: Rooms and bathrooms are spotless. Daily cleaning keeps everything fresh and tidy. Comfort: Comfy beds, good linens, and strong A/C. Quiet at night — perfect for resting after a day out. Common Areas: Cozy shared space with free tea, coffee, and a water refill station. Great for relaxing or chatting with other travelers. Wi-Fi: Fast and reliable — works well throughout the property. Atmosphere: Friendly, chill, and welcoming. Easy to meet people, but not a party hostel. Security: Secure entry, lockers available, and the neighborhood feels safe even after dark. Extras: Luggage storage, scooter rental nearby, and laundry service around the corner. Extended my stay because everything just worked — location, vibe, value, and comfort all in one.

drinking water not installed yet but there are RO machines nearby
Purpose built hostel. Not like most place in CM that were converted from a restaurant or warehouse.. Dorms are really comfy with ac and curtains for privacy. Metal padlock lockers are perfect for keeping valuables.

If possible and feasible, over time, provide larger lockers to store large backpacks in the rooms.
The hostel is cool,fair price, the location is not so central but it is a short walk from everything you need like 7/11 (market), street food, 24-hour laundry, and also about 15/20 minutes walking from the old city and countless temples. The beds in the shared rooms have curtains, light and socket. Towels are provided free of charge, the wifi is fast especially on the 1st floor. It has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave and electric kettle.Air conditioning on at a good temperature all night long. All kinds of tours around the city and surroundings are offered at the hostel and motorbikes for rent too. The owners and the two employees are good people.

There was some noise because the room was next to the toilets where for any reason is people´s favourite to go to talk on the phone at late night and past midnight. Same thing with noisy people using the balconies next to the rooms to hang out instead the lower floor common room. A bit far from main attractions and downtown.
We stayed in a 4 shared room. Beds were good, clean and comfy. Temperature was pleasant with AC. What I liked the most was the location. Just 7 minutes walk to the KadKom Market with loads of great options of local Breakfast and Lunch. There´s a famous traditional ChiangMai KaoSoy Place next to the market and there are a couple of 7-eleven around the market.

Fantastic hostel - clean, easy to check in, great facilities, friendly service and convenient location. The new owners are lovely and extremely accommodating. Downstairs you will find a coffee shop and a lovely space to do work or read. Down the road there are many local food stalls, a 24/7 laundromat, Muay Thai gym and even some local markets. If you’re thinking about booking here - then this is your sign to book it!

Couldn't ask for more, absolutey unreal value for money. only a short walk to the old town. Plenty of space to relax inside and out on the bottom floor and even a balcony on the 3rd floor with great view of the sunset. The owners Pim and Jay are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend 👌
