Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

AustraliaSeemed a little pricey. Open in May (start of wet season) and I was the only guest for 3 nights. Not really a resort but pleasant enough. No pool and really should include breakfast for the rates.
Quiet collection of bungalows, mostly separate. None with views and could get noisy if full. Metres from the beach which is very rocky so be VERY careful when swimming at high tide.

The location was amazing and the atmosphere was very relaxed and homely. Beautiful gardens and the room was clean. Basic but for the price it had all the amenities needed. The owner was extremely helpful with any questions and also arranged a moped and boat trip for the day to Koh Rok and Koh Mook which was out of this world. Such a fantastic experience and like everyone has mentioned the location was 10/10 and the sea was amazing.

SingaporeLanta Fa Rung – 2-Night Stay Review What I liked: Super clean – The place was spotless and well-maintained. Great hospitality – DA at the reception was friendly and helpful. I extended my stay with no issues. Comfortable stay – Beds were cozy, and each room had its own individual hammock—perfect for relaxing. Convenient location – Close to great local food spots and awesome massage places. What I didn’t like: Honestly, nothing! Everything about the stay was smooth and pleasant. Summary: Absolutely loved this place. It’s clean, comfortable, and convenient—perfect for a chill stay in Koh Lanta.

ThailandAll was wonderful!
The staff at Lanta Fa Rung were helpful and sweet. It was also easy to communicate with the property before our arrival. We really enjoyed our bungalow with a comfy hammock in front. The bungalows were spotted and appeared to have been recently updated. The garden was finely manicured, and the beach a stone's throw away. Highly recommended!

FinlandI had booked 5 nights and extended with 7 more nights. Very cozy and beautiful, green and well-kept area, and my bungalow was comfortable, decorated with flowers upon arrival and a nice terrace with furniture and a hammock. Easy location in the middle of the western coastline, can have long walks along the beach and make swim stops here and there. The only minus was a bit low water pressure in the shower, but this was not a problem really, because I got my long hair washed easily. A good fridge in the room (deluxe bungalow), daily cleaning and refill of water every day.

The resort is full.of greenery and very quiet. We loved our hammock on our little deck. The room was cleaned every day and the furnishing was thoughtful - fridge, kettle, BEDSIDE LIGHT, storage space. Very close to the beach, no children - what's not to like?

FinlandI cannot say that I did not like something. It is a matter of attitude always when you are travelling in Thailand, and especially on an island in Thailand. First of all you need to understand that this is a very nice resort (on Thai resort scale) where of course you will find things to picker if you search for those issues and let small things bother you. But again, being on island everything is a bit harder to accomplish. With that, I feel that people who complain about really small things comes in with wrong attitude. Sure, you could have a piece of hand soap already on place. Sure, there could be more space in the room for luggage, or separate hand towel, etc. And sure there could be many more other things that random people would like to have, but it is really not necessary for your holiday. If you really want, you can get what you want easily from the nearby stores. For reference, a piece of soap cost like 0,2 euro. Yes we did buy our own hand soap. The only thing that could really be improved was the wifi. For some reason we were in middle of two networks and neither worked good. It worked for a while, but then stopped working. But it is not the wifi itself, as for example in the bar/restaurant the wifi was really good. So our bungalow just probably fell in between the networks. But this is a small thing, as at least I do not come to Thailand to sit on the internet. :) The biggest nuisance on the other hand is the neighboring bar with loud show every night. We heard pretty clearly inside our room the bass coming from the bar next door. This was each evening. But the bright side on this is that every night it stopped around 22:00. There might have been one night (out of 12) that it went on longer. But this is probably nothing the resort can do, so cannot say that it is the resorts fault.
We loved the place. The owner was REALLY helpful in everything and she wanted to help in all our problems. I was sick, so she organized special foods for me outside the menu, she helped us with cancellations when I got sick, she did everything she could to make our stay good. In addition to the lady running the place, there are several pros to consider: - You will not need a taxi if you stay here. There are at least three SUPER good restaurants, a minimart, ATM and beach all within walking distance. Lanta is a place where you either drive a motorbike or use a taxi to move around. This place is in one of the smaller centers with many restaurants. We used taxi twice to go to Saladan for dinner during 12 night stay. The restaurants near are that good. - Three Sisters, one of the best restaurants on the island is just across the main road. 1min walk - Little to the left from Three Sisters is another really cheap and good restaurant. The name was "friend" something but cant remember it, even we went at least 3 nights there. - On the beach there is a Green Chili restaurant 3min walk from resort. Not as good as the other two but still very good. - Resort is literally on the beach. This beach is rocky on low tide, but the beach right in front of the hotel is one of the few spots where you can go in the ocean even when low tide. There are sunbeds that are in good condition and you get an extra towel from the info (next to beach). - Resort has massage right next to it. I did not use it but my GF used it and loved it. - Resort has restaurant which offers decent priced food. We used the breakfast few times. Price was same as in the nearby restaurants. - Resort is very well maintained. There are plants everywhere. - Rooms are super clean, sheets are changed every 2-3 nights, same with towels. - Shower is decent sized and water pressure is ok. What is more meaningful that you can really get hot water from there, which does not happen in every hotel in Thailand.

We had a wonderful stay here - completely relaxed and enjoyed every moment. We will definitely come back! Just to be clear: If you’re looking for a 5-star luxury resort, this isn’t the place. This is a family-run retreat where nearly all the staff are relatives of the owners, Da and Francisco - even the chef is Da’s mother. The facilities and design may not be flashy, but everything is handled with care, bringing a truly comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are kind-hearted, might be a bit shy at first, but once they warm up to you, they treat you like family. They take pride in their work, and it shows. There's a massage spot right next to the restaurant with very reasonable prices - we had a foot massage there every day for just 350 baht/hr. The bed is comfortable, though firmer than what you may be used to in Europe. That’s common in many places across Southeast Asia, except in high-end hotels/resorts. For us, this wasn’t an issue, we slept like babies every night. The room is simple but has everything you need and is cleaned so well every day. Plenty of coat hangers and racks, a hammock and seating area outside, good air-co, plus a kettle, hairdryer and small fridge. The location is perfect. The back entrance is just a few meters from the main street, with a Big C, 7-Eleven, and ATMs nearby, and the front opens directly onto the beach. It’s close enough for convenience but far enough to avoid street noise. The beach itself is fantastic. In the beginning, I concerned about the rocks in the photos, but they turned out to be coral reefs! There’s plenty of soft, sandy areas to swim while also having sections filled with fish, crabs, sea urchins, it's perfect for snorkeling. And the food is absolutely delicious and authentic, prepared by Da’s mother. We had breakfast and lunch here daily, plus some dinners. If you want to eat out, Da gives excellent recommendations.
