The owner is always friendly and helpful. The chalets are clean and comfortable and the food is great, with a beautiful view from the restaurant area. Above all, the location is unequalled - right near the entrance to Kaeng Krachan National Park.

    Nothing.

Khun Nok and the girl serving / waiting were fantastic. They were super friendly and kind. Nothing seemed to be a trouble to them. The food was just right, as was the beer, and the view of the moonrise over the hills was perfect. It's a lovely, peaceful little resort in one of my favorite places in Thailand. For me it was ideal, because it meant I could drive down there from Bangkok after work and be up at 5am to drive straight into Kaeng Krachan National Park, which is literally 3 minutes from the resort. I'll definitely be going back to spend the night before I head into the Park for my camping and wildlife photography weekends.

If you don’t have a car- definitely pre book your return taxi as we got stranded when Grab taxis wouldn’t come out that far & no local taxis. Thankfully our host kindly gave us a lift to a minivan stop. Careful when walking around the area as local dogs aren’t particularly friendly. We had to retreat.

Excellent location for exploring the National Park if you bring a car or hire a guide as very remote. Host was great & arranged our tour of the park. Very welcoming & evening meals very tasty. Breakfast was eggs, bacon & toast, which some might find limited.

We stayed one night in this property. Very basic room with whatever we needed including AC. Fantastic garden with great wildlife. You can sleep with the sounds of Nightjars and Tokays. The house is just next to the National Park entrance. Very good breakfast. And lovely staff.

Breakfast price is way too expensive. Its not possible to have thai food for breakfast and there is no menu. In result: 3 toasts, 2 fried eggs, bacon and coffee are more expensive than 2 pad thai dishes... We felt a bit scammed there but that's the only bad point of this place.

The place is awesome, a lot of birds come in the mornig. Very peaceful and natural

There is really nothing closeby. We wanted to rent a scooter, or buy some food, but nothing available walking distance.

The staff is wonderful and kind. They are happy to organise you anything like tour guide to the National Park, transfer to anywhere. Food was tasty, location is very peaceful and has nice birds around. We had one day organised to go see wildlife in Kaeng Krachan National park. It was 3500 THB for 2 people. 6.30am - 6pm. We saw lots of animals so was really really worth it! Next day we had a transfer organised to Kui Buri National Park (4000 THB) and there we had a safari truck with a guide (850THB per truck plus foreigner national parl fee 200THB). The Kui Buri has safari 2pm - 6pm and I recommend to go at 2pm because it is acrually a full 4 hour program filled with many wild elephants. It was 2,5 hour drive there and then back but totally worth it. In Kum Nanpaya they helped us to organise everything and you can organise ahaed with them. They were super helpful and were happy to answer questions. We loved our stay here.

Rooms are quite basic (but we expected that, and wouldn't ask for more for the price).

Great location on the edge of the national park. Very quiet, and we saw hornbill from the dining area on our first night. Hosts were lovely and organised a full day tour for us, plus transfers back to Bangkok airport. The food they prepared was always very nice, albeit simple. Our room (a double cabin, no fan) was clean and tidy. Great place to stay to explore the national park.

Basic bungalow but nice and clean. We felt very welcome by both sisters. Beds a bit on the hard side but I slept very well. Good food and no problem eating as a vegan, although breakfast options are limited, especially if you're very strict with stuff like white bread toasts that might not be vegan. There are a few spots where you can sit next to the water, if you don't mint disturbing a bit the lapwings that definitely do not want you there! Good amount of birds on the site. 10 minute walk to Kaeng Krachan entry point. I'd definitely come back!

The toilets are flushed by ground water and left stains in the bowl. This was unsightly but it did not smell. The bathrooms were always clean.

Kumnangpaya had a choice of western and thai breakfasts. But I always prefer local breakfasts when I travel. It was very substantial and freshly made rice in soup. Delicious hot food in the morning to get ready for a full day of wildlife spotting.

The rooms needed some attention - they were very basic and I felt not great value for money. The hosts were pleasant but were not geared up to help wildlife enthusiasts get the most from the park nor very interested in trying to help us.

It is a lovely beautiful and quiet place. At night it was perfectly cool in the cabin. No need to turn on the air conditioner. They have a good restaurant with a nice view over the amazing garden and the lake. The two sisters are the sweetest people. I would highly recommend this place.

Host is very welcoming! Stayed here one night before we camped in the national park. We let ourselves out in the morning as she had to open up her cafe in town. We went to the cafe for coffee and it was fantastic! Location is nice, little huts you stay in are cute, comfortable and private.

Good accommodation, located near the entrance to the national park. The receptionist is very good and they serve breakfast as well. In terms of the room, it's comfortable and the air conditioning ensures a good night's sleep. The surrounding nature is beautiful and there are many types of birds to observe. I really enjoyed my stay.
