The facilities are really good. It is situated on a concrete foundation on the hillside. With a beautiful view of the Jungle and the open sea with the sunset. The only sounds are birds, geckos , monkeys and bugs. It's total Harmony. The tents are huge with a king-size bed, fan, table, electricity and lights. There are also chairs and a table on the outside area. The toilets and showers are clean and new. The couple who runs it are very warm and welcoming. I ended up staying over 3 weeks as I loved it so much. Best stay in Thailand. Highly recommended!

Some people from other tents would be talking loud outside the bathroom area in the early hours of the morning with no consideration of people sleeping, our tent was closest to the bathroom so we could hear even with ear plugs. For some reason they didn’t use the communal balcony area which is away from tents to talk, we mentioned this to Amit in the morning and agreed that maybe a sign or mentioning this in the check in process would help

We spent 5 lovely nights here. Great location, rent a scooter straight away, best shower in Thailand, comfy mattress, spacious tent, water refill/free coffee, very helpful staff with Amit being available all day and night to assist with anything.

My stay in this tent was fantastic! It was very comfortable and spacious, with plenty of power outlets, good lighting, and a fan that kept the air flowing nicely. The bed was great, and the showers were excellent – multiple options with consistently hot water. The real highlight, though, was the service: the owner and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure everything was perfect. The location was also excellent – a perfect base for exploring the island and going on different activities. A great mix of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again!

If there is a paradise, it is in this house. It is incredible, with nice and very hospitable people. The service is the best, and the location is great with everything you need: restaurants, shops, and the beach. The rooms are very aesthetic, clean, and beautifully done. Thank you, Joy House. When I arrived I was invited into Amed's family's home for my reception. I was greeted with kindness, Joy and felt like i was family instantly. I have never experienced something like this before. I was offered something to drink and sat on the livinroom couch surrounded by his family and friends who all made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Amed shared with me his mission statement regarding how he is building his resort to give all visitors a truly joyful experience and stay. He and his wife are building an oasis in the jungle hillside from the ground up, with the main focus of giving their guests a truly unique and special stay. I had chosen the tent option and was truly impressed with how they had thought of everything when it came to equipping the tents with everything that I would need, including a comfortable king size bed. They are in the process of building more facilities and expanding their resort to include a yoga terrace, more washrooms, more rooms and a future pool and restaurant. The quality of the construction is superior to anything that I've seen and I worked in construction most of my life. I could go on and on a out how wonderful I was treated. The tents are on the top of the hill but the owner helped carrying our luggage. There is only one toilet to share but ended up being ok

Lovely stay, the tent was well equipped and the facilities were great. Short walk to Haad Rin town and beach. We were able to rent a scooter from the owner which was great fro exploring the rest of the island. He was very helpful and even took us the ferry when we were leaving. Would recommend!

We had booked an alternative accommodation for the night as we were going to the Full Moon Party. As it turns out, this accommodation had been sold to us is in error, and didn't exist. We were now in a bit of a situation as there was very little accommodation left on the island at 7pm! We found Joy Camping and Rooms, and booked a tent for the night. When we arrived, Amit the host asked why we booked so late on such a busy day. We told him, and he was angry we had been scammed, so upgraded us free of charge to a room with air con and private bathroom. He also talked us through what to expect at the party and how to enjoy it the best and safest way. Finally, he gave us his mobile number and said we could call him if we needed any help in the night. The following day we went to pay for our extras (Pringles!) and he was not available. His wife was amazingly friendly, and even invited us into their home for coffee. Overall, Amit was an amazing host. 100% would recommend.
