Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had an amazing experience at Jenny’s Hostel. Our private room came with a bathroom and a balcony, and everything was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Despite being right on the night market, it was surprisingly quiet — perfect for getting a good night’s sleep. Jenny was so lovely and accommodating throughout our stay. She made a delicious breakfast every morning and went out of her way to help us with anything we needed. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful, welcoming spot in a great location!

ThailandI like to have a shower enclosure or at least a shower curtain but there really wasn't room. The shower was very good. Good pressure and lots of hot water.
The room was a good size and is exactly as shown in the photos. The location is on a soi just off the night market street but is very quiet. Jenny has a cafe on the roof. She makes breakfast and lunch for a reasonable price. There are lots of other food options nearby for dinner and live music. The name is misleading. I think it's more of a hotel than a hostel. The rooms have private baths. I enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay. Jenny and her son are very nice and were very helpful.

United KingdomLots of ants in the bathroom sink. The patio door wouldn't lock.
It's in the centre of Hua Hin, just off the night market (a good 15 mins walk to beach) but in a quiet side street. Food available on the terrace. Room had tv (with English channels) and a fridge. Hostess was very pleasant.

United StatesIf you want a clean, cozy, affordable place to stay and are not looking for a pool or a gym this I highly recommend booking a few days here, and if you like it talk to Jenny to extend your stay. Small, quiet, personal stay right on the night market and a few blocks from the train station. Walking distance to the Tuesday Market, The Patio, and other attractions. About a 10 minute walk to the beach. Two 7-11s on the corner, a larger market about a few blocks away on the other side of the train tracks. Jenny will make you food every day for an additional affordable fee (until 3pm) which makes this place feel even more like visiting family. After 3pm you can find multiple places to eat right outside on the night market. Because this place doesn't have a lot of rooms the WiFi is amazing! Thai style bathroom with western toilets. Water stays Hot if that's what you like. AC and Fan in the room. Key card controls electric. Keep the curtains closed and the bathroom door closed to manage heat in the summer. The rooftop patio/restaurant is a great hangout spot after a long day. I'm so glad I didn't go to a resort. You can get access to any of the pools or just go to a water park. Jenny has been here for 10 years, and she makes you feel very welcome. There are "hostile" style rooms, but that's more for traveling with a big group of friends. Each room is private to those who have booked said room. The rooms are kept very clean, and you're offered water every day. Shampoo and shower gel with towles. Laundry service is available and the fastest turn around I've had in all my travels. Hours, not a full day. What else can I say to entice you to stay?

AustraliaNothing to dislike.
Location was perfect for me. Night Market just a few steps away yet the room was quiet. You can pickup a baht bus (just 15 baht) a couple of minutes from the hotel which will take you to the two main malls Market Village and Bluport about 10 minutes away and a couple of other weekend night markets (Tamarind and Cicada) that have good food. Jenny speaks English reasonably well. She can help you to organize anything you need. I can recommend Jenny's very highly.

Jenny is a true queen of hospitality, she'll make you feel like at home. The location is great too, 10 minutes walk from the train station and the beach, right there at the night market. Can't imagine a better price-value ratio.

United StatesThe owner of the hostel was so friendly and helpful. I took a night bus the day I checked out and I was able to leave my suitcase all day and hang out at the hostel patio in the evening. There is even the option to shower after checkout for a small fee. I loved having my own room and bathroom, and the location was convenient to the night market but it didn't make the hostel loud. The roof top patio is lovely and the breakfast up there was delicious.

CanadaI first stayed there for 10 days last year as well. Jenny and her son make sure that everything is great. It’s steps away from the night market yet far enough to be quiet. I especially enjoy eating breakfast on the rooftop restaurant every morning.

ThailandCan't think of anything I don't like.
The restaurant on the 3rd floor (rooftop) is very breezy. The cooking done by the friendly owner is superb delicious. Have many different menus and the prices moderate. Next, the room is spacious and comfortable. The hostel just near the nightly market. Transportation is very easy to get. And is in center of Hua Hin. Will choose Jenny Hostel when in Hua Hin.
