Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilThe air con was noisy but we couldn't sleep without it being turned on. There were some communication issues, but the staff really tried their best. It was far away from the festival we were attending, but well located within the city.
The staff was very friendly and we had no problem to walk to restaurants. The garden was well kept, the shower was hot and had good water pressure. It was far away from the festival we were attending, but well located within the city.

United KingdomNothing!
Great little resort and a lovely setting. Staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. On a main road but the layout of the bungalows means it's very peaceful. Good parking and easy to find. Breakfast is great! Evening meals are offered but there are plenty of options locally. Pool is small but perfectly usable.

ItalyLocation is better suitable for bikes or cars. If you don’t drive you can rent a bicycle for free in the resort to move around but keep in mind that Chiang Dao town and other interesting spots can be difficult to reach with the hot weather. Wi-Fi is not high-performing but enough for basic usage. In the background I could hear some traffic noise coming from the main road, but it’s not so invasive.
The resort is perfect for some relaxation time, maybe less suitable for day trips or adventures. The garden is very well kept, swimming pool is cleaned every morning, plants and common spaces are beautiful, the room is very clean; bottles of water, toilet paper, towels and instant coffee are given to guests every day. The owner is very attentive to the needs of the guests. Bicycles were offered for free.

United KingdomHard beds and dark rooms with dark coloured bed linnens and curtains. There was wooden seating outside the room under a veranda but no cushions so very uncomfortable to sit there for non Asian guests. Restaurant was closed which was inconvenient as we had no transport and it was a 2 mile walk to the centre of town along a dark road with no pedestrian walkway.
Lovely grounds with clean swimming pool and very quiet and peaceful . The owner was very helpful and friendly

lovely garden, comfortable room with many amenities. We were impressed with the darkening curtains which you don’t usually find in moderately priced accommodations. The breakfast was plentiful with several choices, and the coffee was excellent. We made good use of the spacious balcony for playing games in the evening.

United KingdomThe owner.
I used to love this place but this time I was not happy. We were not welcomed by the owners dog who was very aggressive. The owner demanded we paid when we had already paid and called me a liar. Not made welcome here and will never stay here again solely due to the owners attitude. Very sad as it can be a very good Place with a more welcoming owner. And we never received an apology.

Australiait is near the highway but once you shut your door, there is not much traffic noise at all. But being on the highway is also handy for access to tourist attractions.
This place is very homely. The pool is clean and it’s glorious at the end of a long day. You may hear your neighbors through the wall of your bungalow (built in pairs) but you will not hear the other bungalows. The shower, aircon, TV, fridge and kettle all work, plenty of power outlets, the bed is comfortable. It is vegan, but there are a multitude of shops, 10 minutes around the corner in the main street. (Ked had no problem with me bringing in some street food meat to put in my amazing vegetable curry) The hosts are warm and welcoming. A nice extra touch I found was apart from the standard two bottles of free water per day - they give you a jug of boiling water to use for the kettle. Very thoughtful.

South AfricaThe restaurant is not open. I had a car so could get to a restaurant, but could be tricky if you have no transport.
Having your own bungalow was nice. Also the big porch in front of each bungalow is nice. I put the portable fan on the porch to keep mozzies away and keep cooler which worked well. Keds is really sweet and speaks English well. There is a mini fridge in room as well as kettle and coffee etc sachets. Everything is basic. You get what you pay for.
