Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United KingdomIt’s a really homely hostel. The garden is so nice to sit and relax, it has seating areas and hammocks and it’s very relaxing. There’s also an area inside at reception to sit and chill and also where breakfast is served. They also have free water refill. The room itself was good and the bed was comfortable. I’d recommend to stay here definitely.

GermanyI feel that people go to this hostel to have their own calm, so it was not easy to meet new people. Also, the rooms were smaller than expected.
The beds were very comfortable and the staff was amazing. Also, the atmosphere is very relaxing. The breakfast and the amazing location in the old town are a plus.

IrelandStaff on the front desk were not very friendly. One staff member stared at me and then continued to ignore me for an awkward amount of time. Small number of showers/toilets.
Lovely small hostel with extremely comfortable beds. Really good location, on a quiet street but in walking distance to the town centre. Staff helped me to book an elephant tour & national park before I arrived which was brilliant and a definite highlight of my stay in Chiang Mai.

United KingdomThe hostel was a bit quiet, and for the first few days it was hard to get to know people as a solo traveller. It was also a bit prohibitively quiet (for socialising) in and near the dorms – a lot of people were asleep early, including in the daytime, and the walls were thin. This, combined with the no alcohol rule, made it harder to get to know people. BUT I did meet a great group of people on my fourth night, and we went out to a Muay Thai show. It just took a while.
The breakfast was super good (pancakes and eggs made to order) and the activities were really fun. I especially liked the Muay Thai, as it was something different I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. The hostel was quiet and chilled and had a good mix of different age groups, ranging from 19 to 40ish. The staff were also super helpful and arranged laundry and transport. Also the rooms had hair dryers and even hair straighteners and the communal areas had lots of books.

ItalyWhile the Wi-Fi wasn't as fast as some high-speed internet I've experienced elsewhere, it worked well enough for all my work-related needs without any buffering or connectivity issues that could disrupt my productivity.
The hostel has truly been an outstanding choice for my two-month stay. Its central location within the bustling city center provides unmatched accessibility to all essential amenities—whether it's finding a cozy café, exploring vibrant shops, or enjoying entertainment options just minutes away. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and supportive throughout my entire stay. From assisting with check-ins to providing valuable recommendations on local dining spots or events during my time there, their friendly assistance made staying at the hostel feel like being part of a supportive community. One standout feature that impressed me was the unparalleled comfort of the beds—far more comfortable than any high-end hotel I've stayed in before. The soft bedding provided excellent support and ensured a restful sleep even during those long days exploring. The variety of common areas available made staying put much easier and more enjoyable. Whether sharing stories with fellow travellers or finding a quiet spot to relax after an active day, there were ample options right at my fingertips. This hostel has been an exceptional base during my two-month stay. It offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience in one place—making it ideal for both solo travellers like myself and those seeking to connect with others in their digital nomad lifestyle.

United KingdomNothing.
Everything! It was perfect for us, very clean, great little garden/outside area, lovely comfortable relaxed seating area in reception, lovely free breakfast. As well as free on site activities & bicycle hire. The staff were lovely, really friendly & helpful & spoke really good english. We stayed in private room, it had no window, which we weren't sure about when booking, but absolutely no reason to be. Bed was comfortable & bedding crisp white. Free water tap, tea/coffee & use of fridge. Location was great in old town for accessing temples & night markets.

IrelandCouldn’t fault it 😊
Lovely hostel! Cosy beds, with privacy curtains, there was a locker in the top bunk which was very convenient to keep the stuff beside you. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, pancakes with lots of toppings, yoga class with Erica was great as was the Muay Thai class with Bash (both free!). Overall a lovely chilled vibe, friendly but not a party hostel.

United StatesOnly think I would say, and this is not picking, is more shower/bathroom facilities. Only one shower/toilets in the upstairs area for four dorms seemed a bit few.
Clean, spacious, lovely garden and chill out area and the most comfy hostel beds I’ve ever stayed in (I honestly could have just spend a day sleeping in mine, better than some hotels).

United StatesSome of the staff, the front desk people, should not be doing customer service or hospitality related jobs. I definitely dont want to sound like a Karen but it was, in my opinion and maybe Im biased because I come from a place that is big on hospitality, rude and disrespectful. For example, breakfast starts at 7 am and it was included with my reservation but I had a tour one day that started at 7:15. I asked one of the front desk girls if I could have a cup of milk at 6:50 so 10 mins earlier just because nothing is open that early and I dont want to starve especially that I would be gone all day. She got all flustered and then said “no, breakfast starts at 7. I cant”. I thought she maybe didn’t understand me so I asked again very politely and respectfully. She said “no… I cant help youuuu”. Mind you, breakfast is cereal, milk, and toast. The cereal is always on the counter and they just grab the milk bottle from the fridge next to the counter. I was not requesting anything too crazy. The next morning, I woke up and went downstairs at 6:30. It was a different girl. She had already set up the counter and the milk was already there. I asked her if I could have some, time was 6:40, and she said “go ahead”. Problem solved! So easy. Obviously, it’s not a big deal but it definitely leaves a bad mark on the experience. There was another example with laundry. I needed to do some laundry, but I didn’t need the express service. First, I did not want to pay triple the price. I did not need to clothes back so quickly. Secondly, I was not gonna be back in a hotel in three hours or even for the date to pick up my clothes. However, I didn’t want my clothes back a little sooner than 24 hours just to make sure I had enough time to pack and leave for the airport because I had a flight the next day. I asked the front desk girls if they could contact the laundry service and see what time they would be dropping off the clothes if I were to select the regular service and not express.
Very clean and nice location. I really liked the classes that they offered. I personally did the yoga class twice. Free and is you can do it in the morning certain days or the afternoon some other ones.
