Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe bed mattress was not very comfortable and there were only thick pillows so one couldn't choose
Our children loved the swimming pools with slides and the maze (although it's a bit small). We also loved the free "tram" rides around the botanical garden. The free popcorn and drink at the lobby were a great idea. The buffet breakfast was very good.

ThailandWhile the quality of the food in the dining restaurant was good, the choice was a little limited. The kind of Thai food you can find in any Thai restaurant outside Thailand. Also too much pork! If you don't eat pork choices were even more limited.pleasant
Breakfast buffet was excellent, except that the coffee machine produces strange tasting coffee (more like chocolate)

MyanmarMaintenance of the common grounds and roads can still be improved.
It was our second time there and we were not disappointed. We actually noticed some improvements, like a better breakfast hall and facilities. Highly recommendable.

BelgiumVery Olde Worlde, …down to the rustic padlock on the door of the room 🤣 The room was nice, with a terrace overlooking one of the lakes (lots of huge fish!) We had private pool access, which was excellent. The range of attractions within the complex is impressive, …would need a couple of days just to get around everything! Breakfast restaurant was OK, service and food at the other restaurant was not impressive…

United KingdomRestaurant closed to early.
Large complex with sections of rooms in different varieties of buildings. My complex was very beautiful with private pool to each area. Lovely large room with beautiful bedding. The size of the complex is big, and you can hire bicycles to get around or a buggy will take you. There is a small zoo and a botanical garden. Very nice breakfast choice

GermanyPersonal, I’m sorry but making an issue of not finding a spoon ( I told where it was, but they couldn’t find it) so that I had to run back with crying kid and get a spoon exactly from the place i mentioned was ridiculous. Asked 2 times two different people at reception to have one more blanket ( yes, they call it duvet-ok -to have “ duvet”) but no one brought anything. Get ready for extremely hard beds
Great location for staying with kid: there are 2 playgrounds available, lots of space and wonderful park. I liked the style of wooden houses, garden, the idea of staying in botanical garden is really cool:) perfect view from balcony on lake, fresh air, pretty quite.

United KingdomWe ate at the restaurant a lot but the service and food could have been a bit better at times. The restaurant could have been great as it was beautiful but it was just okay. We had a little walk to the animals and although they didn't seem to be maltreated, they were definitely in enclosures that were too small and it would be better if they didn't have them at all. Maybe just stick to bird enclosures as children would also love these and they are easier to care for.
The grounds were beautiful and the pools were very relaxing. The whole hotel is nessled in tranquility. The rooms were very comfortable and the interconnecting rooms were perfect for our family. The park, bike riding and walks you can do around the gardens were lovely to do with my 6 year old daughter and she loved going in the maze.

Hong KongIt’s quite removed from town (which we knew when we booked).
The resort is quite large and was very empty while we were there. Staff were nice and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. The resort is attached to a botanical gardens and you can tour around in an open shuttle. You can also rent bikes. The gardens has a playground, zoo, swimming pool, and lots of areas for stopping to view the flora and fauna.

AustraliaThe location is far from Chiang Mai, so be prepared to arrange a grab or taxi to take you to the city if you want to go to any of the markets.
Facilities were very good. We spent a few days exploring the grounds, we especially loved the bike you can take through the garden and petting zoo.

ThailandTHB 1,000 (cash only) for key deposit, pay up front upon check-in - in cashless society era. There was no indication that we would need to do so when making the reservation. This was my second and third visit. Last year it was THB 500, which I found a bit unusual already. Now THB 1,000 is excessive.
The location is located out of town so plenty of parking lots and we can avoid the traffic in the city centre. Room is comfortable, with large space. Good selection of breakfast.

AustriaLocation can be tricky. If you want to visit only Chiang Mai city, then you should stay in the city. Costs Approx 250 Baht per way with Grab to the city (Dez/24). If you plan to add a couple of day trips and you have your own car then the location is no disadvantage. At the end for us the advantages offered by the location (e.g. Garden) were bigger than the disadvantages of having to move in and out the city.
We are a family of 4 traveling with small kids. Our kids loved and enjoyed the offer of the hotel. The pool was nice and the weather perfectly warm (Dez) to enjoy it. We went to feed the animals in the Botanical Garden almost every day. Breakfast was good as it had variety. I missed a little more international taste. Fruits offered were so tasty. A lot of people have said the beds are too hard. I liked them. The hotel is silent and calm. Has lots of green areas. 2 playgrounds in the Botanical Garden.
