United KingdomDrain in bathroom got a bit smelly from time to time but staff dealt with it when we reported it.
This is an historic hotel that oozes old world charm. We had a sea view room on the 4th floor (no lift) which was bigger than average with a seating area outside on the balcony. Bathroom was clean and shower had good pressure. Staff were happy and helpful with our needs. Restaurant on the ground floor looked lovely and has great reviews but we only stayed 2 nights so didn't eat there. Hotel is in a good central area of the old town with loads of bars and restaurants near by.

AustraliaThe wifi in the room was almost non existent, forcing me to use my phone rather than laptop. The toilet flush proved a bit of a challenge. There was a bit of a pong which in the bathroom.
The hotel is a prime position but I suspect that my room was the only one with a good view of the sea and surrounding area. The room had a little balcony facing the sea and a table and chairs on a neat little shared terrace, each room having its own little setup. The bed was comfortable and the pillow soft, but the duvet seemed a bit small and flimsy. Nice flat screen TV with YouTube. I was in room number 9 which has windows/glass door on 3 sides.

When I arrived I almost cancelled my 15 night’s stay when I realized there was no lift and my room was on the top floor, which I will not pretend was a struggle at times, especially if like me you have a medical breathing problem, but very pleased I did not cancel. My bedroom was very clean and was daily cleaned to a high standard, coupled with the bedroom had everything you expect from a decent hotel. The stairs may have been a struggle but when you arrive at the floor and looking out from your balcony the views are outstanding, to the point I found myself enjoying for many hour the views and the piece and quite of this hotel location. The owner and all the staff was not only very friendly and helpful but was very professional!! After reading the reviews on this website highlighting the quality of the hotel breakfast I was therefore a little disappointed to discover the hotel stopped doing breakfasts, but don’t let this put you off because many restaurants surround the hotel so you can easy get a good breakfast. What I would highly recommend is having your evening meal at the hotel restaurant, because the service and quality of food is outstanding to the point I enjoyed eating at this hotel restaurant most nights. The location of the hotel is perfect and minutes away from the beach, sea food restaurants, night market and bar areas. Would I return to this hotel ? That’s a big yes!

I like it's location. Many good restaurants around and itself have a nice restaurant at the lobby. Well the restaurant is the lobby. Walking distance to convenient stores, massages, pubs, bars, etc. My room was cleaned everyday. I felt safe even though the lock to my room seem very basic. The view from the common balcony was nice and beautiful during sunrise and sunset. You will have your own balcony chairs assigned.
