How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLarge tent with private pool Lovely views of elephants Nice terrace/outside area. Lovely outdoor shower. Amazing staff and lovely food. Peaceful calm setting, beautiful. Staff were amazing.
I would have liked a sun lounger by the pool to relax and read. There were chairs and foot stools which were nice But sun loungers would have been nice.

Verified reviewElephant View Camp is a great little glamping site. It is run by a very nice couple, who have made this a great project. The tent is immaculately clean? tastefully decorated and super comfortable. The restaurant serves a very nice breakfast and the the dinners we had were outstanding! Great place to stay for 1, 2 or even multiple nights. It is next door to the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, which definitely merits a visit (you get a discount if you stay here)! Sitting by your own pool, looking at the fireflies and elephants (yes, they do also really pass by your tent) is highly relaxing.

Verified reviewWe loved everything. The staff are amazing, so attentive & helpful. The accommodation (I don’t want to call it a tent 😊) was superb. So clean & spacious with your own pool. I was slightly worried about the bugs, but the ‘tents’ are fabulous & very secure. The breakfast & restaurant were spotless & the food very good & not overpriced. We’ve visited many places in Thailand, but this is up there with the most memorable. I’d recommend a 2 day stay, to take it all in & fully relax.
There is nothing to dislike.

Verified reviewExcellent layout of tents, very private, spacious aircon with pool. Restaurant caters for dinner lunch breakfast as needed all quality. Elephants free roam and came past our camp several times but nothing is orchestrated so enjoy the natural atmosphere gibbons wake up call in the morning. Staff are attentive and a pleasure to be around. Day tour at sanctuary a must do.
Nothing all great. Perhaps clearer offerings for additional day tours to national park but this is minor.

Verified reviewBeautiful location, wonderful staff and delicious food! The hike in the national park was really special. Best and his team could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Great communication before arrival too - Best arranged a car to bring us from Bangkok and all worked very smoothly.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was fantastic. The best we had. Hospitality, facilities above and beyond what we expected. This is a small place I would definitely book in advance. Also getting so close to the elephants (rescued not abused ones) is something even in afrika you dont have a chance to experience.
Nothing.

Verified reviewTents were spacious, comfortable and had air conditioning. Towels for shower and pool are provided and there are toiletries for your use. Toilets are private but outside the tent which adds to the experience. Each tent has their own private pools and the elephants come right up to the fences. The noises of all the wildlife at night is plentiful. We had our evening meal and breakfast there and we couldn’t fault the food at all. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Absolutely nothing!

Verified reviewI thoroughly enjoyed my time and stay at Elephant View camp!! I stayed for two nights in the wonderful glamping tent! It was very clean, lots of space, and thoughtfulness to small details such as a night light beside the bed, a chair beside the window and a hand towel in the bathroom. I appreciated the snacks and water left for me. The private pool was clean and refreshing and it was spectacular to be in the pool or in the chairs beside the pool and watch elephants stroll by. Morning sunrise listening to the gibbons was marvellous! My day trip with Best to the national park was a highlight! All the staff and the owners were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast very tasty! . I would definitely recommend a stay here !

Verified reviewThe location was amazing, tents were very private and the elephants passing by each day was fantastic. Lovely greeting from Best, who was very knowledgeable about the elephants. He was also extremely helpful with organising a taxi for us as we arrived from the night train Hua Hin. We greatly appreciated how accommodating he was in allowing us into out tent earlier than the check in time, after a fairly sleepless night in the train. Also took advice from Best and stayed in Ampwawa at the end of our trip, without his knowledge we would have missed this beautiful location. Service was amazing, drinks bought to tent and food was excellent. Everything was really well prepared, breakfast was amazing too.
Nothing not to like. However if your looking for a lively location this may not be the place for you. Suited us perfectly for some relaxation. We stayed 3 nights, this allowed a visit to the Wfft a short walk away and a day chilling in own private pool watching the elephant and bird life. I would say stay 2 nights minimum, not sure 1 would be worthwhile to get maximum use of the area.

Verified reviewOur experience at Elephant View Camp was simply breathtaking. The view was spectacular, and the encounters with the animals were magical. The staff and owners were exceptional in every way – from start to finish, the service was personal, professional, and effortless "feeling like home". A special highlight was our day in the national park with the manager, “Best.” His guidance was informative, warm, and engaging – we couldn’t have imagined anyone better. The food at the restaurant was incredibly delicious and homemade. The two staff members were extremely friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even more perfect.

Verified reviewReally cool tent, good qualitt, very clean and cozy nice out door bath toilet. Nice pool. Good breakfast, Very nice staff and owners. Calm sourondings. Everything was so nice, despite misunderstandning about tour and placement of Clambing tent, I would absolutely recommend already recommend for friends and Will come back, but at least 2days.
We did not se elefants outside, apparently they come mornings around 10, we had to leave 10am for the tour checking out 9.45 indstead of 11 which was bit stress. Thought it was more in the middle of the “park” than at the edge. 7 years ago, we visited same elefant refuge but thier cottage belonging in the middle of everything. This place is still better than the cottage of the refuge. Also We misubderstood thinking we could be showed around upon arrivel, did not understand glambing is its own buisness. So knowing this, i recommend min.2days to fully enjoy.

Best was fantastic the other staff were also very good.. The food was outstanding, I also received a homemade birthday cake during my stay. To sit outside your tent with the elephants so close, was the best birthday present ever. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend elephant view camp and a two night minimum stay is a must.
