The Host was a very warm and lovely person. The Hostel is not overly social, if you would like to mingle a little bit i would recommend arriving at Monday for spaghetti night. But would definitely visit again

This doesn’t feel like a hotel or hostel at all, it feels like home. I came here with a serious leg injury I had same day morning. Tharita (also known as DK Mama) took so good care of me- ordered food every time I was hungry and very good tasty food and super reasonably priced. She got me ice cubes to treat the injury and then also medicine from pharmacy. The place itself is so cool, it has kitchen, coffee, water all the time to your disposal. And then the dorms and beds are so homelike. They have this long cylindrical pillow (it was such a help for me to rest my knee at night) on every bed and even linen feels like home linen and not those typical hotel linen. The balcony adds additional touch. And the locality is so friendly again. And just 100 mts from property, there is convenience store and a huge food market where you can enjoy local Thai food at super reasonable price. And Tharita worships Buddha and she also has lord Ganesha and Laxmi which was an additional reason for me to feel home. I stayed here for 3 nights and would definitely return in future.

A/C is only on from 7pm-10am and everyday at 5:30pm-6pm the rooms get locked because they get sprayed with bug spray, which was very inconvenient.

Very good location, beds are super comfy and facilities are nice. Staff are also super lovely and helpful.

I extended my stay two times here, as many guests also did 🙂. That’s how this hostel has an amazing warm welcoming family vibe, thanks to the owner, Tharita. She is shining so good energy around, and I met only good people here 🙂!! Bed was quiet spacious and comfortable, with small shelf, power socket, curtain. Everything was clean and quiet by night. You won’t regret if you stay here, and Tharita will take care of you like she is taking care of her roses 🤗. All the best, DK mama, you are a true gem in this world!

This hostel was great - clean, comfy, and in a good location, but the best part is the host Tharita. She is one of the kindest, most helpful people we have met while traveling. She went out of her way to make sure everyone felt welcome and helped with booking trips. If you're looking for a chill, friendly hostel with a host who actually cares, this is the spot!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Made new friends and wonderful memories. Tharita is an amazing host who is able to connect with anyone. The place is very clean and tidy as she is always working hard to make sure the guests have a pleasant stay. Small and simple lounge area allows for guests to strike up conversation easily. Very good location to Chaweng beach & street. ARK bar puts on beautiful fire show every night.

The best hostel I've stayed at in Thailand. This is thanks to its owner, Tharita. She treats you like a mother and makes you feel at home. I recommend you stop by and talk to her because she's a lovely person and a shining example of self-improvement. The hostel is in a very quiet, local area, so you'll find reasonably priced restaurants right on the street. The facilities are clean and it's very easy to make friends there. Tharita can help you book any transportation or excursions you need. I'll be back to see my Thai mom, I love you Tharita, thanks for everything.

The beds were spacious and felt private with the curtains. The hostel is very comfortable and with a family vibe. Tharita is a great host and makes you feel right at home! She was so helpful and welcoming. Facilities overall are very clean, showers and bathroom outside the room with enough space for everyone. I liked having a small shelf in the bunk bed to store my things, but you also have small lockers in the hall. Location wise, it’s close enough to the beach and one of the restaurant areas, but very quiet at night.

This isn’t the hostel with the fanciest facilities, but it is the hostel with a warmth and energy unlike any other I’ve come across. The owner and manager, Tharita, is one of the gems of this world and her spirit is woven into the fabric of this special place. If you’ve been on the road and are in need of a home away from home, look no further. As a solo traveller, I can be shy at times, and the layout of this hostel along with Tharita’s ability to connect people is part of the gift this place has to offer. She is known as “DK Mama” and you can feel it as soon as you meet with her infectious laugh and joyous presence. She is the salt of the earth, and is on site mid morning till evening and can help with whatever you need, and keeps a clean space for you to feel right at home. It's surprising to say, but of my travels abroad thus far, DK1 Hostel with Tharita has been one of the highlights

The cat is excessively cute

Very clean, well equipped, close to the center and the beach, and especially amazing staff. Mama Dk made me feel at home far from home as if I was a member of the family. I made memories I’ll never forget and they are greatly due to choosing this hostel in particular. Highly recommend !

The manager of the hostel is a one of a kind. She cleans herself, treat everyone like they are her children, cooked pasta for us one night❤️ The hostel itself is pretty neat, has a nice common area with a lot of opportunities to meet people.

Nothing to be honest. It was really nice at Dk1 Hostel.

I thought it was a pleasant stay. Dk mama is a charismatic woman with a golden heart. she really makes sure you feel comfortable during the stay and helps you with whatever you need. I also slept well in my bed and the staff ensures that cleaning is done every day. i recommend everyone to stay at dk1 hostel. you immediately feel at home.
