The combination of this hotel’s isolation on the beach (in itself a wonderful positive - for those who enjoy quiet walks on the beach and star gazing rather than the loud dizzying over stimulation of places like Koh Samui) and the two pretentious exceedingly expensive restaurants at the hotel (in a country where the street food is SO good and SO cheap) meant that to have lunch or dinner we were charged exorbitant prices for tiny portions - all in the name of oh so elegant Michelin rated pretense of serving “nouvelle cuisine” (tiny portions on large plates decorated with flowers). So fine the service was wonderful, the choice plentiful - the prices are outrageous and based on the taste and portion size completely not appropriate. To get around this - we chose to walk 10-15 minutes along the lovely mostly deserted beach - to a nearby cluster of 3-4 lovely conventional Thai restaurants which served excellent Thai cuisine for normal prices and with the usual Thai warmth and kind service.

The luxury offered - the exceptionally beautiful view to the sea and the lagoon from the room, the spacious suite designed for maximum comfort (two showers - that open directly to the private infinity pool) the large bathtub, the abundance of towels and slippers and flip flops to accommodate all needs, the separate “living room” with the complementary minibar- it really is a unique lovely luxurious experience. The staff (shout out to Eddy who was super helpful and forthcoming for our every request) was warm helpful and kind. The shared (public) infinity pool is a real treat and the staff there provide towels cold water and any kind of service you request - with the view to the andaman sea it is really so special and relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfast was plentiful varied fresh and were a wonderful way to start the day.

The hotel is isolated and every exit from it requires a taxi at a slightly expensive cost. The food and drinks at the hotel are also a bit expensive compared to the environment. The faucets in the shower need additional maintenance. There are shuttles to the city center. But not very frequently and each trip is limited to 15 passengers. Which requires pre-registration. And does not allow spontaneous departure from the hotel even if it requires waiting for a shuttle...

A very luxurious and beautiful resort. Well-kept and invested. Quiet and pleasant. The rooms were beautiful, large and luxurious. The staff is very helpful and does everything to make your stay great, taking care of all your needs with joy and a smile. The breakfast is varied, fresh and very tasty.

There are only two eating venues at the resort, so a little limited in that respect. Additionally, there are no eating options close by. We also did not receive a welcome drink which was surprising to us both?

It would have been nice to have another breakfast venue, like at the pool.

An incredible 5 star stay at the Devasom resort. Our two bed beach villa was magical. The beds and pillows were unbelievably comfortable. I miss them still. Waking up with the view of the sea right on the beach was something else. We booked the stay to recharge the batteries and it’s exactly what we got! The staff were so dedicated to making our family stay as wonderful as possible, and we are very thankful for that. Special mentions to Max and Nikki. The kids club was a really great space for the kids to play and massive bonus right opposite a fantastic gym so I could get a workout in whilst my daughter played. The restaurants were exemplary. The swimming pool incredible. My daughter and I had such fun just swimming, exploring on the beach and eating pizza and drinking fruit shakes by the pool. If we were to suggest one small improvement, it would be regarding the Kids Club hours. It would be wonderful if it stayed open a bit later in the afternoon—perhaps until 6 PM—and if the midday break from 12 to 1 wasn't so strictly enforced. We completely understand the need for staff to have their lunch break, but perhaps a rotating attendant could cover during that time? What we found a bit puzzling is that even parents aren't allowed to stay and play with their own children in the Kids Club during that break. We promise we wouldn’t bring the place down or cause any serious damage—we’d just love to spend a little creative time in that lovely space with our child. :)

Devasom is a beautifully curated mid-size boutique resort with cozy and stylish design throughout. The beds are incredibly spacious and comfortable, the views are stunning, and the whole place has a sense of calm, taste, and refinement. The service was exceptional—every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible, showering us every morning with fresh juices and fruits, and always making us feel welcomed and cared for. Special thanks to our amazing butler Max and the entire team for their heartfelt hospitality and outstanding service. You made us feel truly at home. They also prepared our meals exactly the way we like them, which was a lovely personal touch. Everything—from the setting to the atmosphere—was done with great attention to detail and true hospitality. We’ve traveled all over the world, and Devasom is honestly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended for anyone seeking style, comfort, and a meaningful experience.

The breakfast was a bit of a mixed bag for us. We loved the delicious local fruits and they had some pretty good Asian options. But the focus was more on continental type breakfast, which also wasn’t really up to 5 star resort standard. But we still enjoyed it as me mostly stuck to Thai/local options!

It’s not too big, which makes it feel a bit more cosy than other big resorts. The location on the beach and the dinner show were a plus! The food in the Thai restaurant was exquisite and the massage treatments at the spa were a dream! Staff also very nice/attentive

What I mentioned above. The air conditioning in our bedroom was not working properly. The explanation of available attractions in the area could have been more complete.

Breakfast in general was good, not excellent. Fair selection of pastries and other food. The spaces in the patio of the restaurant were a bit constrained. The bottles of ketchup on the tables were more for a McDonald’s than for a five star hotel. Unacceptable also the absence of linen tablecloth and napkins on the breakfast tables.

We fell in love with the resort. One of our best stays we ever had. There is something for everbody. The resort is secluded, which we liked, however if you would like to explore the area, you can easlily rent a motorbike or take a free bike from the hotel. Both restaurants in the resort are exceptional (of course on the higher price range, but justicied). Rooms are cozy, modern and spotless clean. Additionally, you get as much drinking water as you like for free. Above from all that, the staff is super friendly and will do everything for you. Our stay was just perfect and for a resort of this caliber, the little details matter, which they nailed in our opinion.

Breakfast needs a bit more attention, it is not up to the level of the resort.

Surely a stay to remember forever. Great location, fantastic people and beautiful suits. The hotel is beyond the imagination and the architecture is next level. We could not ask more.
