There are not many beach launchers. Not many cheaper food options.

Beautiful way to wake up in the morning - great location right on the beach. Close to local grocery shop. Enjoyed the meals at the hotel.

We had the best room in the hotel but the cleaners room was right outside and they woke us up at 7am every morning with their clatter and chatter. Maybe move the cleaners room away from the accomodation?

The most beautiful location in Kho Samui, a lovely place to stay and amazing staff

Although you get used to the noise from the road, it is quite significant so I’d make sure to ask for the ocean facing rooms. Other guests were also quite loud late at night, and came up to use their phones at 23:30 outside our rooms. There is no breakfast included but it can be purchased. The rooms themselves are dated, as other reviewers have said, and could do with a decor uplift. The pool was small and sandy as it wasn’t easy for customers to shower before getting in.

The hotel is located near to Lamai so close to the hustle and bustle without being too intense. The hotel itself is on a main road so easy to grab a taxi (we used inDrive or Bolt but also Mr Samui taxis via WhatsApp). Everything was within a 30 minute taxi ride. The best part is the beach which is right there and, particularly when at the beginning or end of the day, you can have the beach to yourself. Twice a week, at the other end of the beach, there is a fire show in the evening which is incredible. Housekeeping comes everyday and the air conditioning works really well. The island itself is great for activities with kids (including zip line, temples, food, some snorkelling at the beach). The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning.

The hotel is quite far from everything. The room that we had was facing the morning sun and it was impossible to open the curtains or to sit in the porch. Also the curtains weren't good enough to hide the sun so we woke up early every morning. Also there was no privacy in the room because it was right near the outside dining room, so the curtains had to be shut down all the time.

The location, the great view, drinking water for free, the staff.

Some stuff need a change like the minibar , doors are rusty due to humidity and bit quite old.

Quite location, staff from Sunny from the reception, Joe from the restaurant and the rest of the team always ready to help and assist you. Everyone's friendly... Few min walk to restaurants, markets around pharmacy... If you're looking for a quite area , away from busy night life will recommend it .

Nice hotel, but it’s right on a busy road. We could hear cars and motorbikes in our room. Nice beach, shallow , it’s said to be the the most beautiful beach on Samui. Lamai center is 25 min walking. There are good restaurants 7-10 min walking and an amazing french bakery 25 min walking. Overall we had a good stay, rooms nice, beds comfortable, bathroom ok. The restaurant at the hotel has tasty food but little pricey.

The water in the shower didn’t get more than warm, we brought it up with the staff but they said it was as hot as the water went which was a bit annoying. The pillows were uncomfortable but the staff gave us different ones when we asked. The hotel itself is a little old and could do with some Reno’s but overall was so wonderful

The location and view of the hotel is amazing, right on the most beautiful beach. The staff were so lovely and accomodating, the breakfast from the cafe was great. We had a really lovely stay and would definitely come back to this hotel.

Resort has main road at rear and even in an ocean view room road noise was sometimes noticeable. We would not want to be in a road side room for that reason (amongst others). We kept getting tiny white flecks of stuff all over anything we left outside and sometimes on stuff left near the doors to our balcony. At first we thought pollen or the like but ultimately concluded it was ash from ashtrays in adjacent rooms blowing into our room. Yuck. We suggest Resort invest in ashtrays with lids for balconys. Unbelievable the amount of people staging what we can only guess were supposed to be the perfect Insta photos in the water around the rocks infront of the Resort, and not actually swimming. Kind of baffling to oldies like us. Lol.

Brilliant little beach. Some say best on Island. We are not familiar enough with the entire Island to comment but Crystal Bay Beach gets a thumbs up from us! Get up early and snorkel with the many species of brightly coloured fish before humanity arrives en masse and the water becomes murky. Was tossing up between hotels along Crystal Bay Beach. So pleased we chose Crystal Bay Beach Resort. Best for location. So pleased we chose an ocean view room. Room was clean. Good size. Comfortable huge bed. Sofa. Chairs (inside and out). Drying racks (2). Water, coffee, tea etc supplies topped up daily. 2 towels per person supplied. Lovely tree shaded (in part) elevated seating area directly above beach with loungers and umbrellas and water to wash sand off feet. While we were staying we could always get a spot (Resort may want to enforce guests only rule as non guests took advantage). Book swap shelves. Mostly European languages. Very good local restaurants within walking distance. Shout out to Silver Spoon, Maitai and Iamchai. 711 is 10 minutes walk away. Didn't eat at the restaurant at the Resort or use the pool (the beach was too nice, in the case of the pool). The Resort is dated but maintenance seems on-going. This isnt the place for you if you like fancy resorts. It's the basic, honest, clean option with a top location. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definately return.

This is more a quite resort so they shut earlier we just brought some drinks and sat around pool till we were ready to go bed

It’s a lovely hotel friendly it’s not over commercialised on the beach and the sea is stunning. We really enjoyed our stay here and in the area there’s a little supermarket further down. You can pick up Taxi’s easy from there. It’s cheaper to get a /taxi from outside than booking through the hotel.

Great location, the staff were great and the room was ample. We got the room with three beds. It was clean and comfortable. There's a few places around so many options for eating out and having a drink as well as at the resort. It's off a major noisy road, but surprisingly, that didn't get in the way of the relaxing experience. The beach was gorgeous and clear. You can hire bikes there, too. It was a lovely place to stay and if go back there for sure.

prices at the restaurant were way too high compared to the rest of the island. The hotel is on a main road so it’s quite hard to cross sometimes.

Clean hotel with really comfortable beds and a nice Beachfront location. Room was cleaned every day and the staff were very helpful. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Pool was a rooftop one with bean bags to chill on nice aswell.

The only downside is we didn’t have a room with a view but you could have that at an extra cost.

We had a lovely stay as a family of 4. The family room was spacious and clean. Crystal bay is beautiful and great for introducing the kids to snorkelling. The pool was quiet and the kids enjoyed being able to access both the pool and beach. There were loungers and towels available for your stay as well. I’d definitely recommend this place. Staff were friendly and helpful.

They have snorkelling masks / snorkels for guests use, and the first time we used on them, it broke, and we were charged 150Baht, which seems a little unfair. Also our room was not made up at all during our stay, despite us requesting it.

The location, the peace and tranquillity, the beach and the snorkelling, the swimming pool and the view from the restaurant.

The only complaint was the bathroom, even though it had a vast, unique rock in the middle, there were no shower curtains or walls to contain the water spray.

The view from our room was just as pictured, a beautiful view of the beach.

Nothing wrong with this place. It does the job. It was super clean and the pool was nice as we had spent lots of time on the beach up to this point. The waiters were very attentive and warm. But food wise, go to local places and the Lamai night market. Imchai Thai Food up the road is sooo good. So cheap too. It was missing a little bit of a personal touch. Also, call us hopeful, but when we arrived we found that are room was essentially kerbside in the worst location in the hotel. There were two better rooms available and (at 5pm) they still didn’t want to upgrade us unless we spent £120. Which is fair, just not going above and beyond. Like I say, very much a clean and tidy 3* hotel.

We booked a last-minute stay at the hotel for four nights. Overall, it was okay – for the price, it’s fair. The room was quite simply furnished and felt a bit cold, and some parts seemed a little outdated. It’s fine for a short stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer vacation. That said, the staff were absolutely great, the restaurant was perfect and the location is amazing. The beach is also just beautiful – really, everything else was perfect. Thank you for the stay!
