Bicycles are too low to use.

Good kayaks for free. Great location for trips to Hidden Beach and around the peninsula to Kai Bae. Hike to waterfall if not dry. Wonderful place to chill. Friendly staff.

You really need a scooter to get around as it’s quite far from the main tourist spots. The water wasn’t great for swimming. Food prices a bit high in the restaurant, breakfast a bit limited.

We loved the happy hour for cocktails in the lovely restaurant over looking the bay. Good size room, nice and peaceful, chilled vibe. The free bicycles were useful.

On plus side: Mongolian tents are situated right at top of this site and have the advantage of giving you a real sense of Wild Living, with the bonus of brilliant sunrise and sunset views. The social area pictured on their site has excellent wifi, has beautifully designed seating/lighting, with view over bay. The sound of the sea is a constant here, lovely. You're welcome to hang out in this area without ordering tho I suspect no outside food/drink accepted. Staff mostly from other countries so several languages offered. Be warned though - there are a LOT of steep and roughly hewn steps up to the tents area, and the loos are either a long walk distant, or down same steps. A measure of fitness needed! And I'd hate to do it with a suitcase. Also it's a good 30 mins' walk to the Pier area, tho push bikes are provided, so you're mostly bound to eat and drink on site, and prices are higher than elsewhere. Plus the swimming is challenging to access from the rocks, though I did snorkel and it is a good site weather permitting. My tent had holes in the thatch - wet season, tent area could be an access issue with all those steps. But as long as you know these things it's a gorgeous place!

The tent was a bit ugly, like you could tell it was pretty old. Can't complain for the price though.

Nice place. Location is good. Food also good. They give free kayak service.

The food is not great and because of that too expensive. The rooms are fairly humid, the air conditioning wasn’t able to dehumidify the room properly.

The location of the restaurant/reception is very beautiful. So with a drink overlooking the sea is very relaxing. The resort is on a nice and quiet part of the island. Cabins/rooms are nice, also price wise for Koh Chang. Our bed was a typical Thai bed: very hard

Short-staffed. Food can be improved. Because you are in Thailand, you need to keep up with the Thai (high) standard for food e.g. hot items need to be served hot.

Greatest ocean view from restaurant and the tents! Very Quiet! Far away from everything. Staff are very helpful.

The room is a bit small, can be hard to move around with no where to put luggage or to unpack. The bed was extremely hard making it very uncomfortable to sleep and when you add the rubber pillows to the equation… it did not make for a good night sleep. Also the shower in my bungalow was broken and kept falling off the wall onto the floor. While the room itself was fairly clean, unfortunately the outdoor sitting area was not. The monkey’s like to hang out on the balcony, but no one ever cleans up the messes they make. There was a lot of urine and poop all over the sitting area, rails, chairs and floor. I think this needs to be cleaned everyday. I also am unable to comment on the food or service in the restaurant. I attempted to eat there my first night, went down at 8:25pm, sat around until 8:40 waiting for someone to take my order. When no one came I went to the desk and spoke to the European woman behind the counter, she rudely looked at me, glared at her phone and said to me, “it’s 8:42pm, I’ll see if the kitchen wants to make you food.” The restaurant clearly says it closes at 9pm, not 8:30, not 8:45pm… 9PM! So spending my first night at the hotel with no food and going to bed hungry after being talked down to and rudely by the woman behind the desk was not a nice experience. Maybe some better training for the Europeans who are working so they can get discounted accommodation? There is also a lot of rubbish all around the bungalows on the top, especially around the balconies of the bungalows. It very much diminished the over all aesthetics. Overall the place is good, location great but the property is starting to get a bit run down due to a lack of attention to the details

The location is very good. Quiet and peaceful with access to snorkeling area and a swimming beach. The view from my bungalow on the top was stunning. The sunsets were breathtaking. There is a viewpoint and lots of explore on foot around the property. I very much enjoyed getting visits from the monkeys everyday and listening to the ocean and birds while having my coffee in the mornings.

I’ve loved to spend the night in their tent, on top of the cliff it’s the first place on Ko Chang where I really felt the magic of being immersed in the Nature. Well lightened when in movement , but fully dark when in the tent. The sound of nature to fall asleep, my best night so far on the island. Only little concern is about the price, conscious it is very very high season, still is a tent , so need a short walk for collective toilets and showers. I’ve loved it , and didn’t mind. But I believe it could cost those 200/300baht less. SAID THAT, I am travelling with my dog, and so far it was the 1st place which didn’t charge me for the dog and where it’s been ideal to stay with Ugo.

There was a lady working at the bar who was very rude to me in the morning. She has a bad atitude towards the guests and that's a shame because it doesn't match the vibe of the place.

The location is beautiful and there are many activities you can book. They let us use the bikes and kayaks for free which is great! There are many food options at the restaurant/ bar and the prices are ok.

I was a bit nervous about booking a tent in a tropical forest... But it was exactly as in the pictures - large roofed tent with a power outlet, very comfy mattresses for a bed and covered "terrace" for sunset watching. I've encountered 2 mosquitoes in 2 nights. In December the nights were manageable without the AC just fine. Pretty good deal.

The toilet never really flushed properly and was already a bit blocked when we arrived. Monkeys having a midnight snack in the trees above our bungalow and dropping bits on the metal roof with a boom, waking us up. Wore earplugs the following night. Sorted.

The property fronts both a sandy beach that faces onto the Bao Bang bay and a rocky headland that perfectly frames the technicolour sunsets. Our bungalow faced out onto the beach and the sunrises and the bar/restaurant/reception, with its swings and beanbags, looks out on the sunsets. Perfect. The property is affiliated with BB Divers Koh Chang which are based at Bao Bang Pier. We were hoping to dive Koh Rang with them the next day but they'd maxed out numbers for equipment by the time we enquired at check-in. They did have room on the boat for us to snorkel and that was definately worth it! The bungalow itself was a good size, with a fridge and plenty of space for bags and space to hang clothes. An enclosed porch at the front included bean bags gave us space to leave our shoes/beach things without bringing sand inside (can't leave things outside or the monkeys will nab them). Food at the restaurant was delicious and well-priced, as were the cocktails. Kayaks were free to take out off the beach without reservation (just wear booties/sneakers or be careful where you tread when getting in and out at beaches and bays as some areas had wood with rusty nails in). Last but not least the cute cats they look after on the property!

Definitely needs some mosquito nets for beds especially as there are gaps in between the door and its frame. I’d have about 5 mosquitoes in the room at once buzzing around my bed. Odd smell in the bathroom.

Lovely location with the option of sandy beach or rocky cove. The staff were friendly as well as the residents of bang bao. Nice communal area with pool.
