‏the round houses are very special and give you the sensation that you are really in nature . but the best and most important thing is the altitude of the owner, Susi. she is amazing ‏she helped us so much when we had some specific problem , and offerd us the opportunity to be in another facility she has . that was also great. we have no words to thank her for her understanding an attitude. we recommend very much to come to her facilities

The place is worn out & needs some repairs. It took a long time to fill the bath more than 45 mins. Black mold on the bathroom floor needs cleaning. Too many garden snails in the bathroom I had to move from the bath & toilet. Woke early from amplified announcements on speakers at the nearby school. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows & bedding had a bad smell. Not many meal options nearby.

Susie was a lovely host at the roundhouse & restaurant where she works. I was the only guest at both. She explained the rules to me & other important information. There was a problem with the water heater she fixed straight away.

somehow the shower wall is too low on one side as other bungalows are on the high slope so when people walk outside, they can somehow see me in the shower or at least i see them.

the staff especially Susie went out of their way to make sure i was comfortable. I mentioned banana and day after I found the whole bunch of banana waiting in my room. I was out most of the time and wish I had spent longer time in the guesthouse. I love mudhouse, it was a joy to stay in one. I love the shower and trees next to it. It brings me close to nature.

The room was so cute. I loved the outdoor bathtub. Susie, the host was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was also great. At night the gas ran out on my water heater. I sent Susie a message and it was fixed the next morning by 8:30am. Excellent service.

For an experience out of the main tourist centers, this is perfect. There are restaurants nearby but it’s very quiet and absolutely beautiful. More than any other place we’ve stayed, the owner has put in so much thought and effort to making the rooms comfortable and clean, putting up screens that cover every tiny opening to the outside to avoid mosquitos (and providing an electric swatter!). The perfect getaway.

3 nights enough as it’s quite isolated. We liked the isolation but were ready to return to Chang Mai is the end for a good shower.

Wow! The location is amazing. Overlooking the 3rd highest mountain in Thailand. The mornings were spectacular as everything came alive. The shrine at the top of the hill 15 mins away is a very special place. The roundhouse was comfortable. The outside bathroom quirky. The staff are lovely.

There are different categories of rooms at the property which are priced differently but this is not mentioned on booking.com. When you get there you realize that not all the rooms have the best view. We recommend messaging the property before booking to make sure you get the top rooms with the better view.

Really wonderful place with breathtaking views of the mountains! The rooms are basic but comfortable. Susie the host is lovely and very helpful.

    everything was good

the host, Susie, and her staff were very friendly. Susie let us check in late and gave great recommendations for restaurants and activities nearby.. Susie can help coordinate transportation from town, if needed. .the roundhouse was spacious and comfortable. the shower had plenty of hot water. the wifi signal.was good.. the breakfast provided a good amount of food and great coffee. to protect from mosquitoes, the roundhouse had screen doors, a mosquito repellent light and coils to burn on the patio.the location was great. the view was incredible and able to be enjoyed from the covered patio. despite being there with other guests, we still had privacy and quiet.

one has to be aware, that the bathroom is outdoor and you come across with different nature visitors. for us was totally Ok!

the woman who runs the houses, Susie, is so friendly and helpful, she gave us instructions to visit temples around and where to eat delicious food. it was very nice meeting her! the room was big and clean, the bed very comfortable and with warm blankets! we liked the breakfast in the garten and the mountain views! all points of interest are very close, beautiful temples, the cave, the thermal springs! we would book there again.

There was a slight plumbing issue which was very quickly resolved by an emergency plumber, who was there within minutes of us calling the hotel.

The breakfast was generous and tasty, and the staff were very accommodating of food preferences (our son can’t eat eggs). Serving real butter is unusual and very much appreciated! They even cooked something special for our littlest member of the family! We also loved the quiet and the beautiful surroundings, hearing the monks chant and the mist in the mornings. Oh and the outdoor showers and bathtub! And the beautiful garden. And we loved the calm and friendly staff.

The centre of Chiang Dao is too far to walk, so you need a bicycle or some car/motorbike to move around. If you come after 18, all the few shops nearby are closed, so don't expect you'll find dinner walking distance. The rooms are in the forest and the street is very dark, so you need a torch and maybe better to take a wood stick from the forest to chase the stray dogs if needed or make some noise for snakes. Restrooms are open air so it is possible you get whatever insects/animals in it of course..

Staff is very kind and helpful, they also helped us with every little issue we had. Breakfast is amazing, nice homemade taste and wonderful scenery all around in the garden, with the view of mountains. Both the room and the open air restrooms are very particular.

Very quaint little huts. Back to basics. Beautiful surroundings. Clean room with pristine bed sheets. The owner was very attentive and helpful. Lovely breakfast and everything was very homely. Definitely recommend this place. Great location too. Withing walking distance of the caves.
