Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The rooms were very large and spacious, very clean and taken care of. The pool area was great and the staff was very nice and helpful with everything we needed. It is close to one of the main roads of the center of koh Tao (7 minute walk) so very easily accessible and close to amazing restaurants . It was a great value for money as we were three people and it was cheaper per person than staying at a hostel in a shared room.

ThailandThe staff speaks English, which is very convenient. The pool is great — it has both a deep area (over 2m) and a normal section. On some days they run swimming lessons for kids, but it didn’t bother me since I was usually out. The hotel also has its own 24/7 shop, with prices about the same as 7-Eleven, which is really handy. Right across the road there’s a motorbike rental agency: 200 baht per day for a 125cc Click and 300 baht for a 160cc Click. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay.

VietnamIt is a little expensive for what you get. It would be nice to have a few extra furnishings in the room (like bedside lamps) to make it feel more homely. Although it is clean we felt it had seen better days. The aircon wasn't great.
A good base to explore Kho Tao from. We loved the location just off a busy area with lots of good food and drink options. A nice view of the jungle and mountains too. Friendly and helpful staff who can help organise scooter rental and onward travel. It isn't luxurious and the room is very basic, but it is clean and does the job.

AustraliaI think I paid extra for a room on the upper floor to have a better view but I was given a room downstairs - I didn’t really mind though.
Rooms were very clean, location is excellent - close enough to everything but tucked away in a quieter spot, staff were very friendly and helpful.

New ZealandFabulous location, easy walk into the main area for food, coffee, pharmacy, 7-11 etc and couple more minutes only to the beachfront. There is a shop right onsite too that is just as good as the 7-11 in town so it was good to support this and it had a very good selection. Kept extremely clean and tidy and the pool is amazing. Very well-provided for with more than enough bottles water and toiletries, which you don’t always get everywhere. Would recommend. The girl on the front desk was very sweet and friendly.

United StatesThere isn't much noise isolation in the rooms and some inconsiderate guests were being pretty loud at times, talking/shouting loudly and banging on the doors. Sometimes there's children taking swimming lessons in the pool in the morning so it could be disrupting if you were hoping to have some quiet by the pool, this didn't bother us however as they were not loud and we were out diving almost every morning. Overall I think the hotel could be improved a bit to make it nicer, but I'd still stay here again for the convenience of the location
The best location in Koh Tao if you want to be close to many amazing restaurants, bars, dive shops, and Sairee beach while staying in a quiet and secluded area surrounded with nature. The hotel is simple, rooms are spacious and comfortable, not fancy but nothing to complain about either. The pool is nice to cool down from the heat and there's a very convenient 24/7 mini-mart right at the entrance with gas pump for scooters (owned by the hotel)

NetherlandsThe shower and WiFi were not always reliable. Nearly every evening, the family behind the building burned their trash during sunset, which was quite unpleasant. Because of this, we never got to fully enjoy the sunset from our balcony. We also had to bring our wet swimming clothes inside to avoid them absorbing the smoke smell. Additionally, a pickup service from the pier would have been appreciated, we requested one but were simply advised to take a taxi. Despite these areas for improvement, we still consider this accommodation one of the better options for families and laid-back travelers.
A cozy stay with a lovely view of the hills. The pool was fantastic, and the staff was really friendly. The accommodation is close to restaurants and the beach, yet tucked away from the busy streets, perfect for a family! The room was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds while remaining pretty quiet. Free drinking water was available, and a small selection of dishes could be ordered by the pool, making it ideal for a rainy or lazy day.

SingaporeIt is a short walk from the main street but on some days when I'm really tired, the walk felt kinda long and it was not something I looked forward to. However, being a distance away from the main Sairee Beach area also meant that we were unaffected by the party noises - which meant that we got to have quality sleep, so it is a win. We engaged the laundry service provided it was 50baht/kg, but we didn't get to find out how much our laundry weighed till after, so the final price we had to pay kind of came as a shock to us (it was 120 baht for one-basket full - not sure whether that is considered expensive or not).
The room was clean and well-maintained. There was hot water, air-conditioning plus the bed was comfortable. Was a good space to rest after going out to dive. The staff were also really friendly to address my questions. Was lovely to have a convenience store located right outside the building.
