Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe pool, though clean, could be filtered better
For a hotel within this price catagory, the room and facilities met all our expectations. Ideal for a short stay to discover the wonderful beaches of Chaweng. The town is 5 minutes away by scooter, and brimming with restaurants, shops and night life.

New ZealandHotel needs to understand importance of and commit to doing regular planned maintenance, 3 monthly squirt wd40 into door locks, its an older hotel, locks are worn. Had to ask staff to lubricate door lock otherwise I had to slam door to get it to close, so unfair to other adjacent customers to make that noise.
Good smart tv, Prime/Netflix.. functional if a bit old, nice enough view, bed good. Option to use 2 pools, one beside the beach

IsraelWhen we arrived we noticed a bit of language barrier especially at night and we saw some difficulties with the shower yet overall it was a lovely experience.
We really enjoyed the accommodations and the overall service everything looked authentic and welcoming and we felt every question was answered

United KingdomMould and mildew all over the bathroom, surfaces were dirty throughout the room on arrival, the futon bed was dirty (luckily enough we didn't need to use it) and the shower mixer didn't work, informed reception didn't improve so we had a bath instead everyday.
The location is amazing, breakfast was of really good quality and the beach was beautiful

RussiaThe pool is rather small, a lot of children, rather noisy. Very far from center, have to walk. And windows infront of the pool. You are either obsurved by everyone or have to keep the curtains shut. The lighting was bad. The worst thing! When I untied the curtains round the bed there were ants there!! And when I told the manager he answered that they've got "a very simple decision - to cancel my reservation and refund the rest of the payment!! Getting rid of a guest! They call it a decision!!
Beach front, wonderful view.

United KingdomOur room was damp and smelt musty even though it was one floor up and couldn’t open balcony doors to try and air room as there were no mosquito nets on the doors. They allowed others to use pool at beach if they came in for drinks or food so it was at times very noisy with kids and family’s not from the resort using the pool Had a bath with a shower over it but it was not tall enough for me to shower underneath and I am only 5’8” so had to bend down to wash hair
Close to beach and restaurants Bed super comfortable and big Lovely pool by beach and nice breakfast and lunches Staff lovely Powerful shower

CanadaOnly major issue were non guests of the hotel using the beach pool area including the pool despite signage that clearly indicated that it was for resort guests only. Even worse was bringing young children with them and allowing them to use pool unsupervised.
The beach and pool area were very good as was the included breakfast. The location is excellent as you are right next to the beach. The hotel is very close to a lot of different restaurants and bars. Lots of tour operators and scooter rental places close as well. The room was a decent size but a little tired and there were some issues with the shower hot water that many of the guests experienced as well. The staff were great.

NetherlandsThe bathroom was a bit rundown.
Our experience at Bhundhari was special as we were woken up by the waves at the shore which was less than 5 meters away. The staff was friendly and they cleaned our rooms every day. The pool was very nice, never tried the food.

United StatesIt was a bit older property and the beach and pool in front of the room are both small. Downtown was about 1.5 miles away but manageable.
We stayed in Bungalow # 1419 which was right next to the pool and ocean. I was a little concerned that it might be too noisy but it wasn’t. The bar closed early, maybe 6 pm? (can’t remember) and nobody used the pool after that. The room was large and the staff were great. The massage parlor across from the reception was great. Be advised, most of the rooms in this property are away from the beach. I would not want to stay there unless the price was really low. I paid $120US per night in Jan 2025.

ItalyThe bed was weird. There was something on the bed but under the bedsheets, like a blanket. Maybe they use it as a mattress cover but it was very uncomfortable to sleep on it. Almost all the restaurants around hotel are russian owned:(((( the breakfast in a hotel restaurant is not good.
We liked the pool on the beach. It was a little bit cold but very beautiful view and in a quiet zone. Also we liked big windows. The hotel is situated not far from the noisy part of Chaweng but it's still possible to sleep. When the shower holder broke they replaced it in 1 day.

BelgiumCleaning of the room was not done properly. Bathroom window let through a lot of light during the night (we had to cover it with towels).

IndiaPool repair still on
I was on the seaside rooms and that were large and comfortable with a good aize balcony and partial sea view. The location while in chaweng is not too near the busy area, which was a positive for me as It would only take 5 mins by bike if I needed to go but didn't have to stay in that traffic and noise all the time.

United KingdomThe wear and tear of the room was beginning to become quite obvious (paint splatters in the taps, wood chips coming over the edge of the bath), and the shower head holder was too small for the shower head and too high up for the length of it too so I guess it was installed incorrectly and left? But it made washing my hair incredibly difficult (my other half had to hold it while I sat in the tub) and tedious. More hooks in the bathroom to hold the hand and bath towels would be handy too, just a suggestion!
The hotel / room was lovely, the style was really cool and it was tucked away in a corner spot of Chaweng beach that created a lovely ambience. We booked the room with the pool swim up and glad we did this was a great part of our mornings! The staff were incredibly helpful.
