Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThis is a really nice, very calm, hotel located at the end of Lamai Beach. We rented a car to easily see different parts of the island. This is recommended because the walk to other parts of Lamai is quite long in the heat. However, just staying at the hotel is also very nice as the area around the pool or the restaurant is never crowded and the beach outside the hotel was always deserted - so calm and peaceful and staff was extremely friendly. We were stying there with two teenagers and this was perfect - I would not recommend this hotel for families with ver small children. Other parts of Lamai Beach and Silver Beach were often quite crowded so we were very happy to be able to have a relaxing time and then choose to visit more crowded places when we wanted.

United StatesSome of the other guests were rude to staff. Staff handled them with calm professionalism. Hope they don't try to invade Thailand like they did Ukraine.
Staff very friendly. Office staff very helpful. Lady with black framed glasses is incredible and her English speaking abilities make navigating the area easier. Rent a motorbike through them and "Mr. Pai". Excellent bike and extremely fast service. Groundskeeper ( thin man with silver hair) works very hard to keep facilities very nice. I would hire him if I was a hotel owner. Take good care of this employee. Also breakfast staff was great and fast. Very hard workers who prepare great food.

United KingdomThe resort felt a bit dated and unloved in areas. Weeds round pool which would be a two min job to remove when villa is changed over, let it down.
The villa was spacious and private pool a decent size. The restaurant was ok, didn’t really rate the breakfast. It is very quiet and at end of a strip of beach. It suited us, but thought the hotel would have a bit more going on.

United KingdomThe beach location is bad as it is very shallow water so not for swimming or kids having fun with waves. The complex lacks life (yes it is quiet which can aid relaxation however it did not have an atmosphere of any kind). The beach /lounge facilities are tired and need updating. If staying here know the rooms will be clean but the facilities are unexciting and you will need to visit other beaches for a better quality beach experience. You can use the red pick up buses that circle the island to travel relatively cheaply and easily to nearby beaches such as Silver Beach and Coral Cove and Lamai Beaches all about 1 to 2 miles from this hotel.
The large studio room. Though it is sparsely furnished which means it can feel drab. Breakfast was ok. The staff were very friendly and were responsive to issues. For example my door lock wouldn't close on 2 occasions and the maintenance sorted the issue out there and then. Other staff were eager to please and friendly. Especially the older porter fellow.

Czech RepublicScam and fraud! pictures are from precovid era, everything is old, dirty and disgusting because during covid the hotel was sealed. Avoid this hotel. We should stay 2 nights but cancelled second night. Do not go there if you do not want to ruin your vacation. You find much better hotels for cheaper price. Hotel pays you in ice cream for 5* rating .. not worth at all 200 usd night!!! Half of the beach walk is collapsed. Dangerous for kids as well. Breakfest very very average.

BelgiumThe resort is a 10-15 minute walk away from the most busy area or the main beach of Lamai, but if you walk along the coast line, who would mind this wonderful stroll? We certainly didn't! The Lamai night market is also a 15-minute walk, but the nearest 7-11 is only 5 minutes away. At breakfast, we would have preferred to have more than 1 (deliciously prepared) coffee included, and maybe slightly more choice of eggs to be prepared, but those are details :-)
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this wonderful paradise! We rented a private villa for 2 people with private pool, and it was a dream come true to wake up with a direct view of your own pool! Our villa was completely secluded and only a couple of 100 meters from the wonderful, quiet beach, WOW! The entire resort is peaceful, we never got a crowded feeling, not during breakfast, and not at the splendid infinity pool with view of the ocean. The pool-side massage service is highly recommended to add to the feeling of being in paradise. Tip: you can have breakfast in the garden leading to the beach! The beach itself is wonderful and almost deserted, but you can walk along the coastline to all neighbouring bars and the busier part of the beach if that's what you prefer.
