Lush property, helpful staff, upgraded room, beach not for swimming

The beach in front of the hotel isn’t ideal for swimming. It’s better suited for walking or relaxing by the shore rather than water activities.

The property is very lush and beautifully maintained, especially the garden, which adds a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were all very helpful and attentive throughout my stay. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade, as the room I originally booked was undergoing renovation. I appreciated the thoughtful gesture.

There was some construction taking place and I wasn't forewarned, so that was a bit of a surprise. Also, laundry service isn't available which would've been appreciated.

Perfect location near the beach, clean and pleasant rooms. Very pretty property, kind owners.

Very jungle bamboo hut feeling. The ocean there is very disappointing. Huts are very creaky and loud

The ocean/bay is not very inviting and doesn't make you want to swim. The bamboo huts make a lot of noise every time you take a step or open the door to the bathroom. The property has no restaurant or bar or anywhere to get anything to drink.

The huts were very cute. I had a hut with kitchen facilities underneath. It comes with a full size fridge and has all utilities that you will need if you would like to stay where you are. The bedroom is very nice. It is the only part of the hut that has aircon. The bathroom is very spacious and not completely sealed off which once again gives you that bamboo hut feeling. Everything you need like restaurants and a small supermarket are all in walking distance. I love the area

The bathroom is an outdoor jungle style, which is fine, but the entire room becomes soaked, and there is a big concrete step that could be really dangerous when wet... could do with some anti slip mat as it would not feel safe with kids or anyone unsure of footing. I think our bungalow backed onto a staff area as could hear conversations going on all day, as the bungalow walls are thin. A lot of mosquitoes because its impossible to block the doors. A drink when we arrived would have ben a nice touch, but not so big a deal.

Location is nice, next to a small section of beach and right next to Orion healing centre which has a beautiful pool area (but not allowed to use unless buying something ofc as not a guest there. ) Feels quite jungle like to have a tea on the little balcony.

For us, the hotel was not centrally located and lacked facilities. However that is personal preference. The resort is picture perfect and the staff are amazing.

Room was amazing, a truely peaceful tropical escape.

The bed was not comfortable. The bathroom door for room 9 was bamboo and it was too much noisy beside it was braking apart. The bathroom was dangerous. The tile floor can be extremely slippery after a shower since the water goes pretty much everywhere. They must at least provide coffee and tea.

I like the set up of the cabanas. It was very clean, environmental friendly, all bamboo as it say on the property description. The cabanas were properly equip with all necessary items.

Cosy bamboo huts, good facilities and pefect base for exploring Koh Phangan
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Chalet
    • Stayed 4 nights

As they are bamboo huts, mosquitos can still get in. A net is hung over the bed but not perfect either. The beach in front of the resort is not suitable for swimming as it is very shallow. This is also the case for many beaches in the area, however, they are perfect for snorkeling.

Bamboo huts at Bamboo Bay! Very stereotypical huts with basic facilities but more than everything required for a short stay. Location is quite good, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants however it is recommended to hire a scooter to be able to explore Koh Phangan even more. Ann's Restaurant just down the road was perfect and our go to for lunch and dinner, highly recommend!

The construction next door was a little bit noisy, but maintenance needs to be done, especially in the off season, so that's ok.

The price was high for what you get. No a/c, no hot water kettle in the room or complimentary coffee for guests. I felt that i'm staying in a room at a restaurant and less of a resort or hotel. you are kinda paying extra for the name of the place. The place was really empty during my stay of 5 days, which was a bummer as a solo traveler.

The style of the rooms is really nice. The view was beautiful and lush! This place is a really nice hideaway This place is great for 2-3 days as a solo traveler.

The power did go off in the middle of the night and the fans did not work for a few hours (this is bound to happen on a small island), so it wasn't a big issue, just hot!

The eco huts are adorable and spacious. We were in one with multiple fans to keep things cool. There is a bugs net over the bed which helps to prevent mosquitos. We arrived after reception was closed and the staff were so helpful and accommodating for us.

Great location - calm but close to the centre and beach of Srithanu. Orion Healing is next door. Every member of the staff I met was very friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Ei Ei at the reception! Great chat with the owner Dolf as well.hi Beautiful bungalows and garden. I stayed in hut no. 1 which had a fan. I recommend renting a room with an aircon when coming here during the hotter months.

For the price you pay I do think there should be air conditioning as it’s just too hot to do anything inside of the hut. I think this place is nice for a short stay but too hot for long term. Also not sure why the other bungalows had a fan on their balcony but we didn’t, would have been a lot more comfortable with the extra fan!

It’s literally right on the beach. So amazing to wake up, look out the window and see the sea!! It’s a really cute little bungalow and love the bamboo look. Comfy hammock that we enjoyed using.

Just one small detail, you are provided with two bottles of water in your fridge on the first day but they are not replenished after that and despite a fitness centre being on site there is nowhere to fill your water bottle up, I’ve been travelling all over Asia for six weeks now and everywhere I’ve stayed the water bottles or water filter machine have been provided/available every day of my stay. For the price you pay I think this should be included.

This was my Second time staying at bamboo bay, I love the cute little beach huts with the hammock for relaxing on the porch and the location for me is amazing, being right next to Orion yoga healing centre, it’s also very close to many restaurants, supermarket, atms and ‘happy’ beach
