The property is well looked after, and the apartment was lovely! It was perfect for the two of us. It’s a little out of the centre but it’s not a long walk. The lady also helped us book a day trip round the main attractions which make things easier for us!

Its about 1 km from the clock tower.Nothing much around the property no restaurants.Chiang rai is ok for one night.To see the blue and white temple.We got a grab quite easily.

Nice quiet location, clean room, comfy bed, and fridge stocked with water. The hotel manager (Cam or Gam, not sure how to spell) was the best! She took great care of us and would ask us if we needed anything and come through every time. At nights she invited us to hang out and have beers with with her and her friends. I learned about ice cubes in the Singha. I would balk at that back home, but hey when in Chiang Rai…

My room was on the ground floor, the windows were visible from the street, so i had to close the curtains for privacy.

Nice host, was able to book mekong slow boat and do laundry at reasonable price. Room is clean and functional. Instant coffee and water is provided. City center is about 15 mins walk.

I was there for three days. I am very satisfied. The room was large and very clean, with a fridge and kettle. The bed was really comfortable and the owner was very nice and friendly. The air conditioning worked great.

I stayed at Baan Kan Chiang Rai for three nights. The room was very good sized, cool AC, reliable internet, and comfortable beds. It's just outside the main tourist / downtown zone (~10-15 min walk) of Chiang Rai but there are still plenty of coffee shops, laundry, etc nearby. I rented a motorbike which made it even easier to get around. I personally value being able to be in the city center for meals, drinks, sightseeing, etc but also being able to get out of it and away from all the tourists, etc when I'm finished. This hotel was perfect for that.

Wish they designed the bathroom better. Nice that the sink was outside of the toilet room. The shower was next to the toilet with no curtain so entire room gets wet and floor remains wet for quite awhile after use. Should have at least sloped the floor and put the drain closer to the shower.

Surprising nice for such a good price. Room was very clean and bright. Beds were comfortable. Host really made extra efforts to make it cozy. Water supplied everyday. Just a few minutes walk to the local laundry which was a plus. We found the local night market but it was mostly fresh fish and stuff for the locals to cook up. Loved the clock tower show. Fun. Melt in Your Mouth is a great nearby restaurant on the edge of a lovely river walk. Locals were doing exercise classes and pickup ball games. Fun to watch.

I enjoyed my 4 nights at Baan Kan. I moved from a double room to a twin room so I had Netflix. The twin room is on the ground floor & very spacious. It’s got all the amenities you could possibly require, is modern & clean. The only negative is the outlook… the garage & car park. Bear in mind there is also a lot of traffic noise and at the time on-site construction. It isn’t right in town but walkable although I had a scooter which was handy. I rented this through the owners. With all that said, this is still excellent value for money & super friendly owners.

I have finished here my 40 days travel around Thailand and this is the best accommodation I had. Host (and the family) is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room had everything I needed - tea/coffee maker, mugs and glass, working desk, night lamp, drawers, AC, refrigerator, TV, enough clothes hangers, etc. They really thought of every detail. Location is bit further from the centre, but in quiet neighborhood. Room is cleaned every 2 days providing water, toilet paper, clean towels, and sheets (if needed). Price is also very reasonable, 100% recommend.
