Nice, relaxing, great view, good value

Food at the restaurant wasn't very good. Breakfast is average but nice view to enjoy a coffee. Facilities a bit old but decent. Doors were hard and noisy to open/close.

Comfortable stay at Baan Hin Sai. My room had a jacuzzi (took a while to fill up) on the balcony which was quite relaxing. East-facing view is beautiful, and the garden is well maintained giving a peaceful vibe, even though the main road isn't too far away. Good value for money if you want something nice and don't mind that it's a bit old.

The resort is set on a hillside, so it can be a real workout to go to the lobby when it's hot. Fortunately, they have a golf cart and they usually respond quickly to a request for a ride. The included breakfast was pretty lackluster with the dishes being a bit boring.

Rooms are set nicely in the trees with beautiful views. Ours was a villa by the ocean, so the view was epic. Our bathroom was nicely remodeled and very functional. The bed in our room was very comfortable which can be a rarity in Thailand.

It’s very hilly which we expected but definitely something to consider if you have small children or mobility issues. It’s set on a windy road & cars go fast so not suitable to walk along. Taxi or car hire is a must.

Beautiful setting, felt very relaxing. Restaurant was lovely & the private pool was amazing. Shared pools were quiet with a great layout.

The overall equipments were not up to the standard . ( air condition too loud and not efficient, the level of the siphon was not well calibrated, the water could not flow well. An horrible smell came out. )

The private pool was awesome . The ocean view was wonderful.

The hotel is a little dated and needs a revamp in my opinion. The room was clean but the safe deposit didn’t work. Pre locked for me arriving. The staff were fantastic and really friendly. The dining area was nice and had a great view of the sea while having breakfast. Breakfast is a standard Thai one but was nice. The facilities i.e the pool and surrounding areas to sun bath were a really disappointment and really need sorted. I understand now why they offer you to go to their sister hotel for these. The location was advertised as 1.4km from Samui centre but I think they need get the measuring tape out again as I walked one day to Samui centre and it took 1 hour ( I regularly walk and can cover 3 miles in an hour no problem).

Yes, it's clear that the hotel isn't the newest, it’s clear that the staff puts a lot of effort into maintaining it in the best possible condition and its integration into the natural surroundings is truly something special, making it absolutely worth staying here. The cliffside rooms with private pools are simply amazing. We originally planned to stay for just a week, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay to three weeks. Besides the unique location, which is away from the busy city center, the staff here is incredible—they go above and beyond to fulfill every request with a smile. The restaurant serves excellent meals at reasonable prices, and nearly every evening, there's some form of entertainment, such as live music, seafood BBQs, or fire shows. If you're looking for a beachfront hotel, this might not be the place for you, as it's perched on a cliff. However, it does have two large pools. You can also spend some time at the nearby Coral Beach, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful on Samui and is not very busy. Despite that, I still believe it's perfect for relaxation as well as a base for exploring the island and going on excursions. Sitting on the cliffside, watching the waves crash against the rocks, is simply breathtaking. A truly exceptional place with wonderful people!

There is nothing at walking distance, you need a motorbike to get around Rooms should be better maintained (some stains, A/C are not cold, pool & windows are dirty) If you go to the breakfast after 9am there is nothing anymore (no more milk, yogurt & only a little bit of food left)

The staff was very kind and arranging, gave us an early checkin & a late checkout The view from the villa was amazing Buggy service to pick us up from the villas

The room was less maintained, and the glass door a bit hectic. They could definitely maintain the facilities better too.

really nice room with a pool, and the resort is pretty wild and nature-oriented. they provide golf cart drives to the room and back as it is hilly. Plenty of activities in the afternoon.

While our room had a jacuzzi on the balcony, the water was not hot enough to enjoy it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Baan Hin Sai. We had a room that overlooked the ocean, with great views. The breakfast was delicious, with a large variety of different foods (thank you, Mr. Sunny!). The staff was excellent, very friendly and professional. While the resort is built into the rocks and there is no beach, there are daily free shuttles to either a nearby sister resort in Lamai or to Chaweng Noi Beach. And because the paths in the resort and somewhat steep, there are carts to transport you up to the entrance or down to your room (we only used up). We found Baan Hin Sai an excellent value and we would definitely come back.

The location was on the side of a road. Without a vehicle you can't go to any restaurants or stores. Taxis and tuktuks were stopping by. But it gets expensive if you have to use them every time . You should rent a scooter if you stay here!

The room was very spacious. Enough place to store all your stuff. Bathroom was also big. The room had a nice balcony to chill. Beds were comfortable!

Room cleanliness, found hairs all over that hadn't been cleaned up. Ants and centipedes and worms were all over everyday in the room and no idea how they were getting in. Resort is alittle long in the tooth and requires quite abit of maintenance.

The front desk staff were lovely. Very friendly and doing a fantastic job.

    1. Old decorations and facilities, bed is squeaky. The glass door can’t be closed completely, we found mosquitoes and other insects every day 2. Breakfast is not good enough, limited choices 3. Some staffs can’t communicate well, misunderstanding sometimes.

Beautiful view, nice staffs, large room space, quiet to sleep. Really like the private pool and sea views.
