There are added fees on to everything. Be very aware of your purchases and read receipts we had added charges that we needed to contest and the service charge and tax are outrageous

There's not much to do near the hotel. You have to drive to Patong Beach. There is no music at the main pool, it's a bit quiet

The hotel is amazing. Very clean, I had a room with a jacuzzi on the terrace – total luxury. There's no smell of damp, which is very important to me. Other 5-star hotels smelled of damp. Breakfast has a huge selection, and the fresh fruit and vegetable juices are great. The food in the restaurants is amazing. I very like this hotel the hotel has 3 swimming pool, one is for adults Next to the hotel is one of the most beautiful beaches, Freedom Beach. It takes 5 minutes to get there via a private entrance. Avista Hideaway is a great resort, not far from Patong for shopping, dining and nightlife, but far enough away to feel peacefully secluded. Set in the hills with stunning sea views, gorgeous infinity pool and private adults only pool, rooms are spacious and perfectly equipped with nice amenities. Staff are always smiling and helpful, breakfast is good. Special mention to the Michelin star Tambu restaurant on the rooftop level. Outstanding food, wine and service. Well worth enjoying this degustation menu. Had a wonderful stay and the manager Philip runs a great hotel.

Service was amazing and welcoming, nothing was to much trouble, we were made to feel like we were the only people on holidays. Amazing views and the fact I could see elephants at the back of the property was exceptional. Had a couple of celebrations and the hotel accommodated each separately but with the same level of finesse.

Hotel is a little out of the way from central so have to either take a taxi - which can be expensive - or hotel's scheduled shuttle bus which doesn't always have the most convenient timings esp since the main schedule ends early in my opinion.

The facilities were great, especially the pools available - loved the size of the pools and the views from it. My husband found it very convenient to go to the fitness centre as it was open 24/7. Was great having buggies to take us to and from our room and the room/hotel interior and exterior design was 10/10. Hygiene is a big thing for me and i appreciated how the hotel as well as the room was kept very clean! Me and my husband were on honeymoon and the set up done by the hotel when we arrived was amazing and made us very happy.

Unfortunately this was a celebratory trip and management was made aware of this. It would have been appreciated if something special was arranged by the team. I had also requested special pillows when booking, unfortunately these were not arranged.

As for the Sizzle Rooftop Bar. While the view from the bar is absolutely breathtaking and Ms Simona, the person in charge, was incredibly friendly and tried her best to help us, the overall experience was let down by several of the staff. It wasn’t just a lack of experience, some staff were noticeably unfriendly, and the staff at the restaurant fell short of the standards you'd expect from such a highly-rated venue. Many of them seemed disinterested and lacked basic service warmth. We had ordered the seafood platter, which already included oysters. Unfortunately, a staff member still recommended we order an additional half-dozen oysters, without pointing out that they were already part of the platter, something they should definitely have known better than us. Even more concerning, some of the prawns on the platter were not fresh and had a strong mildew like taste. When we flagged this to the staff, the chef came over and simply said, “It’s like this, we can change it if you want. I’m new.” His response came off as dismissive and lacking professionalism. We weren’t asking for compensation. Just giving feedback. But he walked off without any apology or sense of responsibility. After Ms. Simona stepped in, the chef returned to apologize, which we appreciated. Ms Simona also kindly offered a discount as a gesture of goodwill, which showed genuine concern for guest satisfaction. Her professionalism stood out and helped smooth over an otherwise disappointing dining experience.

We stayed at Avista Hideaway for 6 nights and overall had a wonderful experience, thanks largely to the warm and attentive service of the hotel staff. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We were especially thankful for the thoughtful room upgrade and the lovely "Happy Anniversary" decoration and cake prepared for us. It made our celebration even more special. Throughout our stay, the housekeeping team continued to surprise us with beautiful daily decor in our room, which we truly appreciated! it was such a lovely and heartwarming touch. A special shoutout goes to Matt, who went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay. He was extremely helpful, always cheerful, and full of great ideas for activities and places to explore around Phuket. His genuine hospitality made a real difference to our trip.

The fact I/we had to leave and return to reality — but that’s hardly their fault 🤣

We had the pleasure of staying at Avista for several days in May. The facilities and surroundings are superb, but by far it is the people who made our holiday so incredibly enjoyable. All hotel staff are entirely professional, and really couldn't be more attentive. We would like to make particular mention of Kiran, Bob, and It who were exemplary bar hosts, and Chompoo (sp?), Alisa and Bella, who were always so welcoming at Vista Dining. Thank you all for making our stay so memorable and bringing such joy to all you do. We look forward to returning - and ordering far too many cocktails for own good :/ - one day soon. :)

It's a massive establishments on a hill, so they literally use gulf carts to chauffeur everyone to their rooms. They only have about 4-5 of them for 150+ rooms and suites. So, if you are either a super impatient person, unfit to walk up a steep hill, or are old and have health issues, I wouldn't recommend booking here. The breakfast buffet was a bit average to be honest, I have experienced a wider and better range of breakfast options at other hotels and resorts. Also, eating at the restaurant was quite on the high side compared to other places I have stayed, especially for alcoholic beverages...prices were way too high, so would recommend going to town and eating/drinking at the local establishments were you will get better quality and value for your money.

Staff were amazing, friendly, courteous, and informative. Room was amazing...looked precisely like the photos and super clean and private pool was a plus. Loved that I could play my music as loud as I wanted without disturbing anyone. Very private and relaxing which is exactly what I needed and wanted.

The rooms were huge and very comfortable. The staff are all so kind and accommodating. We really enjoyed the breakfast which had a wide range of options. The gym, games room and many pools were definitely a highlight.

I think because of the open plan in the lobby , it gets too hot. There is no where to hide in the lobby from heat. No aircon. They should look into that , and they would have received 10stars from me
