Staff at the reception is not nice at all, but welcome to Thailand, also I requested a room with partial Lakeview; and they gave me a room that looking at the roof, also there was construction in the morning. When we asked to change, it, turned out that they had other rooms with the view I requested., and they were ready to move me, so why didn’t give me this room at first place if it was available? Logic doesn’t work here.

The price is very good, also the property looks nice even though it’s very old. Nice territory, villas are comfortable

I expected the staff to be a little more helpful and friendly. Also, basic toiletries were not available at the property.

The rooms are now starting to age. We were there during the rainy season and we could smell a bit of mold in the room.

Cute, nice resort setup with 2 good swimming pools and a riverview. Fascilities were nice and clean. Comfy room with a big terrace.

The staff wasn’t nice, especially lady in the reception, I think Thai people need to learn to be more friendly and nice, also my request for Lakeview was ignored instead they gave me villa with a view on another roof and my friends that I traveled with got Lakeview even though they didn’t request it, when my friends saw my room they were very disappointed so we called the reception, and reception said: we have a few more villas available. One of them was next to my friends Villa with lake view, so my question was why didn’t they give it to me in first place? Where is the logic? If it it’s available, why giving me a roof view? Not smart.

The property looks beautiful even though old, villas are clean and spacious, all the amenities are nice, I think maybe they had small renovation, good value for money. It was peaceful and quiet there.

the standard room was not great. it's worth paying for the better bungalow type rooms.

I stayed in two rooms, the standard and a Bungalow. The standard was ok for the price, but the bungalows were quite amazing with private spa, and elevated in the trees with unique ramp access, felt like living in a tree house. Wifi was not bad. The location is a little removed from the main area, but peaceful. I had a scooter making the distance not so much of a problem. The propery had two pools to choose form, and ferry service to the main beach nearby (however I didn't use this.)

The beach and pool area was so nice. Also the restaurant/check in was with the same amazing view as all the rooms. Probably the best beach on the island. The staff were lovely and always smiling. The free rental of kayaks and standing boards was also nice. And rental of moped for 300 bath per day was super easy and fair price.

Well, it was off season, so every service that they had from a pool bar to coffee shop and so on were closed, but this was visible in the price per room. I didn't really mind it. It was also a bit far away from services that were open, for example shops and grocery stores, but you can rent a moped.

The hotel was very good looking, rooms were spacious with a very large bed and a nice balcony with a bath tub. Breakfast was very much enough and lovely

There is no direct access to the beach but only a boat taking you there in some minutes free of charge. The resort needs some renovation but the too itself Was nice.

Restaurant was not really good, breakfast very basic and few choices when you are used to European breakfast. If you don’t have a scooter, it’s pretty far from restaurants and points of interest.

Quite tricky to find your way around the mace of wooden stairs and walkways, almost no signs. The walkway was also in a slightly bad condition with pretty narrow stair steps. Could be a bit tricky to move around the area if you are not a bit agile. Not walking distance to the surrounding town areas.

Beautiful location of the restaurant by the river, great local thai cousin that was hard to find in other restaurants (หลนปู Lon Poo), very nice breakfast with mixed thai and western food. Nice with the complimentary firefly tour. Free shuttle boat from the hotel to the beach a few minutes away. Extra plus with all the nice tropical fishes in the river.

As others have said the resort itself is aged and in need of some maintenance and upgrading. The pool also looked a green murky colour. That said this is all reflected in the price so I suppose you get what you pay for.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast good, the rooms nice and in a relaxing location alongside river.

We’ve been staying at the Aana since 2012 this was our first visit back in 5 years, still love the hotel but the location has slightly changed and is more built up than it used to be not sure if the beach was owned by the Aana and they’ve sold the land for other hotels to build there as between the Aana and Klong Prato there are 3 small hotels having been built which makes the beach busier and nosier as the bridge that the Aana built has more traffic for people to access these hotels. We absolutely love the location of the hotel hence why we’ve returned but not sure if Koh Chang I’d for us anymore, the hotel we went to on Koh Mak offered more in the way of breakfast and free kayak

No hand towels. It’s called a resort and spa but, the gym and spa were permanently closed. The entire complex is very weathered and in desperate need of a touch up. The breakfast was more oriented to Asian guests. In some parts of the resort where there were stairs, there was almost no lighting to see the stairs. Questionable hot water (depends of what hour you take the shower).

The rooms were very clean and extremely confortable, the hotel gave a very nature feeling even when it looks very run down, there was a private beach with a boat to get there, there was sun beds for the people staying at the hotel, because it was kinda far from the towns it was very relaxing. They have a cheap laundry service which was a plus, and the hotel can call a taxi for a cheap price to go to the nearest towns.
