The location was brilliant. Walking distance to the Independent Square and the beach areas. Enjoyed the New year festival fireworks in the square. Lively and vibrant city. Plenty of fun places with restaurants and bars.

United KingdomLets start with the bread/croissants at breakfast: have had bigger/better. Service very slow for other meals. As stated in other reviews, water cold in the shower, but given the heat outside, I did not mind that too much. Various disappointments. First room, small, dark and noisy. Nothing like I was expecting. I complained and was subsequently moved. Happy in my second room. Issues with paying for the rooms, which was subsequently resolved. Re my laundry, my socks had been given to another guest. Subsequently found and returned. However, I still await the return of my pyjamas. Not happy about that.
The location is good, a short walk to Independence Square. Hotel staff are generally friendly and helpful. Wi Fi is good. Nice fruit salad and eggs at breakfast. Nice Bissap! My second room was bright and comfortable, with good storage and a good shower.

GreeceFirst room we were given had an old carpet and old aircon, was a bit smelly too. Thankfully due to some problems with the water pressure (that were solved) we had to move to a better room. Breakfast was poor.
Location, helpful staff, clean room (not all rooms are the same, we had to change from 3rd floor to first floor 104 room which we found much cleaner and nicer). Generally Dakar doesn’t have many options for hotels so I recommend booking here if you want to spend your days around Plateau area. We tried one more hotel and it was awful.

CroatiaBooking lists this hotel as a 4-star property. They label themselves as a 3-star. On Google maps they are indexed as a 2-star. The price is certainly 4-star. What they deliver is another matter. 3-star at best and not at European 3-star level at that. You book a double room and only get one towel and soap. OK, an intervention at the reception remedied that, but only after a repeated attempt. WiFi is dismal more often than not. As opposed to European hotels, when you have a 5 am departure, they inform you straight-faced that no, you can't get some sort of lunch box (or breakfast box, if you will) even if breakfast is included in the price. And so on and on. OK, I know this is Africa so you simply take some things in stride. Only, when you sum it all up, it's nowhere near 4-star and generously overpriced for what you get.
