The host was extremely kind and attentive, welcoming us warmly and sharing helpful tips right from the start. The location is absolutely perfect for hiking tours, with many beautiful trails starting nearby. The accommodation itself radiates a classic vibe making it a cozy and authentic place to stay. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere and would happily come back again – highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the slowak paradise.

Not strictly the problem of the house but buying amenities in the village is not that straightforward. E.g. the main shop is closed on Sundays. It is better to arrive equipped with food, etc.

The room and the bathroom were impeccably clean. The room was not very large but it was OK for me, I did not want to spend there much time except for sleeping. The shared kitchen was much better than I expected, even though I did not cook seriously there but it would have been possible. The kitchen, together with the garden furniture would have been suitable for a nice after-excursion dinner. I was also pleasanty surprised how close the house was to the attractions, e.g. the entrance of the Hornad gorge is about 20 minutes walking from the house and Podlesok is about 3 km on walking trail. All in all, I can recommend warmly the place even for longer stays.

Clean, comfortable rooms, spacious kitchen, place to barbecue. The property is 2 km from the hiking routes and you can reach them on foot, no need to go through the nightmare of parking in Podlesok. The owner is very friendly and helpful and will show you where the shops and restaurants are in town, as well as how to get to the routes themselves. During our stay the toilet flusher broke and I had to call the owner for help - he fixed it within the hour and gave us free tickets to the national park as compensation. Overall experience 10/10

Amazing host, we felt very welcomed! Always asked us if we needed anything, kept the entire place spotless and offered advice on which trails to take. I wish all places we go to in the future have a host as great as him. Definitely will come back! Thank you for amazing memories.

Loved our stay here, really helpful team, super cute accommodation with lovely shared spaces. The fireplace was lit for when we got back, kitchen facilities were a bonus. A bit of a walk to get to the start of the Sucha Bela route but was nice. Shop and restaurant nearby, recommend the pizza place. Would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at yellow paradise. The room was a double with a ensuite bathroom and a small "kitchen" corner - small fridge, kettle, cups and plates and space for making eg. Sandwiches. The main kitchen was located downstairs and is shared with approx 5 other rooms. The main kitchen is equipped with a kettle, hob, a large fridge and pans, pots, cups and plates. The kitchen area also has a large table to accommodate at least 10 people. Everything was clean and well maintained. Walking distance to the Hornad river (~20min). Longer walk to Podlesok (~40min). A coop store and a pharmacy 5min away. Closest restaurant (open after season) ~10min walking (u Hudaka).

Very friendly owner, who was flexible with our arrival time ( we drove from Krakow in bad weather ) . Really comfy beds , excellent shower. Quiet area ideally situated for walking the gorges, in fact you can walk right from the property without driving. Only thing missing in my opinion was a toaster ( we had a room with a kitchenette) but that's not a major problem. Great restaurant/ bar in the village . I would stay there again

The accommodation is super cozy, spacious, fully equipped with all facilities a visitor might need which aren’t included in any hotel. Also it’s very charming with its local interior design. We got welcomed very warmly and got some helpful touring information about the park. Probably one of the best resorts in the region!

We could have great rest after a long hiking day. The location is perfect, all the tour routes are close to the acommodation. Juraj was also an incredibly kind host, he offered us advice regarding restaurants and sights to visit. The apartment is lovely, well equipped and clean. Absolutely everything was exceptional! The host was incredibly welcoming and proficient in English! The residence featured a charming fireplace, and the host ensured it remained warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Every aspect was genuine, exquisite, and immaculate. The location is enchanting, offering breathtaking views of the mountains from the yard. The host also ensured we had an ample supply of logs for the fireplace. Everything! The host is very friendly and speaks fluent English! The house had a cozy fireplace and host made sure that it was always warm and ready for us! Everything is authentic, beautiful, clean. The place is magical, you can see the mountains from the yard. The host made sure we had enough logs for the fireplace. We will come back here again and again! Best place to stay in Slovakia! Juraj was always very helpful and available. The place was quite comfortable and charming, with a rustic, countryside style. The Slovenský raj is right nearby, so we could start our hike there directly from our door! Finally, in spite of being in a small village, there is still a nice and cozy restaurant where to relax at winter nights too. 🙂

the location of the property was easy to find, there is on site parking available for up to 3 cars, otherwise you could park on the street. I can imagine staying here for more days and organising day outings and coming back to base to either fire up the bbq or visit one of the local restaurants. Our room was en-suite. It was located downstairs next to the common room and kitchenette, meaning those getting up earlier could wake you up in the process of getting themselves ready for the day. The room was spacious enough with storage cupboards, the bathroom had a spacious shower cubicle and good water pressure. All in all, satisfied with the choice for our stay.

Friendly, super clean, family run place to stay. Great showers! Hosts were always helpful. About 1 km from the entrance to Slovak Paradise national park. We arrived by bus and train so the location added a couple of km to our walks each day!
