How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The hotel is very nice. Room was clean and everyone was so helpful. They even changed the breakfast time because they knew a sports event was taking place nearby, and many guests were staying specifically for that reason. And the breakfast was awesome 🤌 I loved that they had lactose free options and some gluten free as well.

Everything was perfect.
This hotel is superb, recommended. Restaurant is excellent. Rooms very comfortable and quiet. Staff excellent, very helpful. Free car parking at rear of hotel, remember to get ticket validated before departing.

The coffee machine at breakfast was broken or something. We could get cappuccino only at the bar and had to pay for it. Not acceptable.
The room was big, comfortable and clean. They are pet-friendly. They had a good selection of food for breakfast. Very nice and friendly staff.

The property is fantastic, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Our room was enormous, spotless, and beautifully furnished. The bed was extremely cozy, and the large bathtub was a wonderful touch, making the stay even more enjoyable.

My only let downs are the pillows in the beds are not comfortable. Bar food and the breakfast are very average.
Room is great, always cleaned to high standard. WiFi always good. Wellness centre is very good. Staff throughout the hotel are great, very friendly and willing to help.

Hotel Turiec is located in the center of Martin and as such it's easy to get around town from here. The breakfast was very good with a good selection as well as the possibility to sit on the terrace, which is much welcome on a nice morning. Communication with the hotel and staff was very good.

The only thing i can mention is the stains on the side cover of the bed (pink covers) and the carpet flex covers the room
The hotel is renovated, so it’s modern and consist of all the gadgets you’d need. It is generally clean. We had breakfast and we enjoyed the carb section. The buffet can be enriched with veggie options. Overall we had a great and relaxing experience

There was just enough warm water in the shower, but I would have liked it a little hotter. But it could also have been due to a late shower before midnight. I don't know.
The hotel offered everything it promised. The description corresponds to reality. The hotel is a very short walk from the city centre. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was cozy and very clean with a view of the park. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom with shower was nice. There was a TV, coffee table and minibar in the room. The breakfast was good enough with both sweet and salty offerings. There was coffee, tea and juice to drink. There is also a wellness area in the hotel with a small charge, which unfortunately we didn't manage to visit. We were very satisfied and would recommend the hotel.

The was nothing of note.
Hotel is easy to find and has barrier car park at rear. Quite neighbourhood. Excellent restaurant. Rooms clean warm & comfortable.. Staff friendly and helpful.

The shower system is a bit complicated and water pressure is not enough
