How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bedside lamps could be useful.
The room was clean, well-equipped, and large enough. The breakfast was ok, a great start for an intensive day in the mountains.

No response to my message via booking.com 3 days before arrival requesting an early check in. Arrived during the closed period and got no answer at the door. Ended up going into town with my luggage. Returned 30 mins after check in started and no one in. 3 telephone numbers listed to phone for help. First two didn't help, but third allowed remote check in and access. Awful check in process, with additional cost to phone international numbers.
Lovely location, with a great chilled cafe/bar within 50m. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic WiFi strength. Breakfast was nice, and appeared that staff member was there only to feed myself (at a fixed time if 7.30am only).

Breakfast should štart at 7:30 but nothing was prepared on time. Anyway breakfast was tasty and nice.

Absolutely spotless accomodation. Beautiful bright room with comfortable beds, meticulously clean bathroom and lovely reception staff. The location is quiet and just few meters from center, where are restaurants and cafes. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend!

I felt the staff was just okay. I wasn’t aware that checkin was done remotely. I got there and rang the doorbell with no answer. I messaged the staff and they did not respond. I called the number listed on booking.com three times, no answer. I tried the second number listed on the door. No answer. Finally, I tried a third number and they finally answered and let me in. From there on, everything was great.. but the beginning was really annoying to navigate.
I actually liked the privacy I got. The lounge is always open and has a certain serenity at night. Free juice and coffee 24/7. The room was clean and comfortable.

There is no reception, so you need to call the owner when you arrive. Then the door opens, but nobody is there. When I left, nobody was there. So you can't say hello or bye or thank you. That was the only thing that was strange a bit.
Breakfast was nice with some variety. And the neighborhood was really nice too. Everything was clean and modern. Thank you!

The fact I never saw in the inside of the property... or the room... or the breakfast!

I booked this pension on booking.com on request of the manager - I was there nearby and I called some number, she told me to book, pay and call her back. It was raining, I did so, freezing outside, and I was let in when the lady on the phone confirmed pay. I called her and she guided me over the phone to the room, where the keys were on the door. Then, on the next morning there was breakfast downstairs but again no representative from the pension. I went out, leaving the keys on the reception desk, hoping that the invoice will be sent thru booking.com. I kept calling the number provided by booking.com, I wrote messages but nobody replies and I need the invoice promptly. So bottom line is that you will only get access once you paid, but no proper service and no invoice!

For the amount of money I expected better breakfast. Breakfast was only bread, no yoghurt or eggs etc. Which was very disappointing.

There was no-one there when I arrived at the time I"d specified and eventually when I called the number she answered and told me to show myself on the camera and then she opened the door by remote. She gave me the room number and said breakfast was at 9am. That was it. No welcome, no further communication. The room was okay although no bedside light and a hard bed. Breakfast was minimal and served by a man who did not say a word. I was the only guest so the whole experience was not very pleasant. If they took the trouble to let guests know in advance that they needed to make a phone call and that it was a remote check in that would help. Hospitality is important when people are travelling.
The room itself was fine - very new and well fitted out with a good shower. The pension is in a quiet street.
