My friend said that the bed was too soft for her. For me it was ok. The room was a bit small with the two chairs, but it was acceptable.

I really liked the kitchen, it has a big balcony with a beautiful view to the mountains. It has all the facilities you would need to cook. There are two fridges, the other guests didn't steal our staff from there. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. There was a hairdryer as well, which was great. The location was good and the price as well. It's a wery priceworthy place I think. Our host was also nice, I contacted her because my friend arrived earlier than me, our host was flexible and allowed my friend to check in earlier, without me.

Excellent location with a beautiful view. Certainly very convenient for walkers and those who want to self cater. The room was spacious and the balcony was great to enjoy the sunshine. Excellent value for money.

Nice place to start hike trail in High Tatras. As well as finish. Train station, shops and cafe are in close proximity. Cosy town, just like some Switzerland ones.

Well for people who are light sleepers the doors are not soundproof so you could hear everything happening on the corridor.

I liked how convenient everything was. The kitchen, the room the bathroom. Anything you would like to do you could. All the essentials were provided.

There was musty smell in the room.

The location is very convenient. The railway stop is in 1 min walking, restaurants in a 5 min, start of hiking routes in 10 min. The receptionist was nice. It was clean and quiet in the room and hotel. There is fully equipment kitchen and free coffee and tea.

Great accommodation! I stayed here for one night as a solo traveller. I wish I could stay longer. The room had everything what I needed, very clean and well organized. There is also a kitchen with free tea. The instructions for late check-in were clear. I'll definitely come back

I had a wonderful stay at Villa Gerlach. The accommodations were comfortable and well-kept. Adrianna was incredibly kind, allowing us to check in early, which made our trip much more convenient. The location was perfect for exploring the area. I highly recommend Villa Gerlach for a relaxing getaway.

Amazing Location just out side town square so very quite. Next to train station so no need to walk far if you arrive ny train. Clean and neat and well organised. Also very close to start with any hike up the mountain.

Big clean rooms with private bathroom and balcony, with a good price and a hangout area. The villa is located 5 min away from the main train station of Stary Smokovec. Good access to hiking paths. There are 2 common kitchens which you can use to make yourself a meal, quite convenient as it has lots of utensils/pans. There is also a basement with pool, perfect to hang out with friends. Overall, great accommodation that has everything you need.

I think most people will not have a problem with it but I am very cold sensitive and the room was a bit too cold for my taste. I had to wear more layers when there (at the end of July and beginning of August - the temperatures dropped in the whole area). My friend who lives in the region used his heating but the hotel did not heat the rooms during the summer. It makes sense of course that one would not want to heat during the summer, but what one should look at is how cold it gets not what period of the year it is. So, I was almost never actually warm during my stay. I am somewhat more cold sensitive than average though. The hotel offered me an additional 'deka' but I was ok under the covers after putting on my layers and after the first night (which was the most cold) passed. What I would have liked is just a warmer room in general. The walls oozed the coldness and sometimes I went outside overdressed because I did not realize that it was actually warmer outside. Sometimes I was in bed and was not cold in general but felt an uncomfortable cold coming at me from the walls. This got better over my stay as the weather improved. I would also have preferred to pay the visitor tax (2 euro per night) together with my whole stay.

I made myself at home over the many days of my stay. The location is very practical. I could easily get around. The area is lovely. The staff was friendly. My room had plenty of space for me (since it was meant for two guests and I was on my own). The villa has a kitchen and a common room, but I did not make use of them (apart from borrowing a lovely Slovak vase from the kitchen for some flowers).
