The listing on booking.com said they were pet-friendly. Just in case, I also included a special request in my booking that we were travelling with a dog. At check-in, they were not happy with us having a dog with us. After much discussion, they allowed us to stay but asked an additional €20 for the dog. We are used to paying a little extra for our dog but that was higher than what we paid at other accommodations in Slovakia. The manager said their policy only allowed small dogs and that we should have called first but I rechecked the listing and it said nothing about these conditions. Not sure what we could have done differently, but if you are travelling with a dog, I guess its best to call this hotel in advance.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Lots of quirky, old-school decoration. The thimble collection is impressive!

- Hosts nice enough, but not really paying attention to their guests- mixing you up with other guests, forgetting that you’ve paid already etc. - Cobwebs and spider in the room - Shower hande needs exchange because the stream was weak and leaking - Basic breakfast

I made a reservation in the application, when I arrived at the facility for check-in, the owner refused to check in at the price that was reserved in the application and stated that he would only check in at the price of his personal price list for accommodation. I contacted support to resolve the issue and while I was waiting for the result, I asked for coffee, which I was denied due to the closed restaurant. After the support service worked, I was still able to check in on the terms of the owner, and after registering, the owner offered dinner. The restaurant is up and running! I asked for a menu, but the owner said that there is no menu, but he can offer a choice of two dishes. I asked for the cost of dinner and got a price that I agreed to. Dinner was not even half the advertised price, but ok. Breakfast was included in the price. Breakfast was very poor. After breakfast , the owner offered to pay for accommodation and dinner. But for dinner, he issued a check with a completely different amount, much higher than stated. When, I was indignant at the deceit, he showed the menu, which, after all, was as it turned out, and called the police to my indignation. He closed me in the lobby of the hotel demanding payment which he called. The police came and explained that by law I had to pay his price, which I did. Regarding the apartments - they have traces of long-term use. The linen is all washed out and old. The owner turned off the heating for the night, even though the temperature outside was below zero. Bottom line: the hotel is not worth the money that is stated! The owner is a liar, a deceiver and not a decent person! I strongly do not recommend this property for accommodation.
