Great location, we had a fantastic stay! The location is absolutely perfect—close to everything you need. The facilities were clean, modern, and well-maintained, making the whole experience very comfortable and enjoyable. Everything was great from check-in to check-out. The only thing I missed was breakfast being included, but that aside, I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

No breakfast option and the coffee and tea facility was on the ground floor with our room on the 2nd floor and there was only green tea, coffee and no milk. Also, check-out was difficult as there was no staff in the office at about 9 a.m. and the telephone number on the office door didn’t work so we just left the key card tucked into our room doorframe and left.

The price does not include breakfast, which is a shame. There is also no kettle or anything to make your morning better. The place is big enough and looks like there was a time when weary travelers could have something to eat in the morning.

The room was nice and clean with air conditioning, a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. Place looked nice and clean, it is situated in the centre of the town which is nice. Restaurants, grocery stores and all needed are near by.

Missing fridge in the room. Breakfast was not included, we could order only breakfast in box which was prepared in the fridge downstairs in the morning. Coffee and tea also not in the room, available downstairs as well.

Location excellent. Room size great, comfy bed. Bathroom with shower and bathtub. Toilet in separate bathroom. Parking lot directly in the backyard.

Very cosy room with a super nice and hospitable lady owner. Good selection of food for breakfast (continental buffet). I highly recommend this place. We will be back if we are in Stará Lubovňa visiting our friend again.

The pension placed in centre of city, they have own parking place in a yard of pension. Really nice interior, a restaurant with bowling and bar, delicious burgers on list.

Not much to say; maybe the lack of your usual shower gel and so, but those are easy to purchase from a small shop across the square.

Penzión Kolkáreñ is clean, the rooms are big and comfortable, very central position (it's on the main square). The staff are friendly and helpful.

Bed in the wrong place

The bed was in the wrong place in the room. It ment that my wife hit her head really hard on the roof window opening while trying to walk around the bed. Other than that. Clean room. Good shower. Comfortable bed.

Overpriced compared to bigger room’s in similar pensions in Spisska Nova Ves. The breakfast for 10 euros was an insulting selection of cheap hams and cheese slices that looked like they had been fetched from the local Lidl. For that price there should be a cooked breakfast, a choice of scrambled eggs and something substantial. At least the coffee was a real bean machine. For 3 euros it might have been ok value. More competition in Stara Lubovna might be needed to help them raise their standards. By nightfall there are no other pubs or eateries open, so this might explain why it is overpriced. But the breakfast was dreadful for 10 euros.

There was no kettle in the flat. Although check-out is by 10am, we were turned off the hot water at 08:30am. The whole flat smelled of mould or mildew.

The apartment had a kitchen and you can see that it was renovated
