It’s not that I didn’t like it but it’s just a comfort thing: it was quite warm in the upper floor so the room felt very warm. Thankfully the air was nice and cool outdoors so I could leave the windows open.

The location is great, I loved the castle-like look and design. One could sense the people who lived there in the past, for the design and the decoration was very authentic. The staff was very nice and friendly, they were polite even though I arrived there very late.

This was our second time and we did get room in the attic which is more modern style and smaller. Felt a bit claustrophobic and lost the sense of the historical feeling of the whole building.

A fantastic, relaxing and quiet stay at Gino Park while visiting family in Povazska Bystrica of my Slovak wife. Room was comfy and big. Breakfast was great with a variety of choices!

We were a little bit disappointed by the food: The barbecue (only saturday) is quite expensive considering what is offered. Especially the breakfast (in the cellar for some reason) was meager for a 4-star-hotel.

Very beautiful room, hotel and surroundings. The staff was helpful, nice and polite, the spa is small, but enjoyable.

It is a fair distance from the town centre and the surrounding area is not overly attractive and without shops or restaurants, so it is a bit of an island in effect. I could be wrong, but didn’t see any air conditioning, not that it was needed when were there

As the name says, it is a repurposed palace. This gives the rooms a scale and grandeur. It also has a beautiful chapel. It is set in midst of the old estate so is surrounded by acres of gardens and paths and is on a hill overlooking the city and surrounding mountains. The restaurant was good. We didn’t visit the spa.

I booked the room online at 5pm arrived at 20 and they gave me a cold room. The heating was off! End of January! When complained to the reception I was told to turn it on myself, I said do not know, she came to turn it on and said will be warm in a while. I had a full cold night. I came to rest and left sleepless. When complained to the account manager in the morning instead of sorry and any compensation was said to ask for a different room next time. Why I was not given a warm room from yesterday then? Really dissapointing

For this price, there is no other hotel which has all the facilities excluded from the price. Paying extra for pool and saunas or even for billiard is not very customer friendly approach. I travel a lot and I've never seen this in any other hotel which features such facilities. I also didn't appreciate that the first room which was offered had a very strong smell (chemical, not or building smell). We accepted a cheaper and smaller room but there was no reimbursement. Some staff was not very friendly.

We had a huge room for a couple. Beds were only connected together, sheets separated as well. During the night you can hear people using the bathroom one floor higher.

Our room had several issues with quality (e.g. non-working tv, non working toilet flushing button, dirty cups, no cups for drinking tap water, one liquid (without any sign on it) to be used as shampoo and shower gel, no body lotion etc.). Breakfast was really a disaster. Such a steal for 15 EUR per persona. Plus, the breakfast is not accessible by disabled or strollers (only stairs, no lift). Clear and honest feedback was given to reception where it seemed rather unaccepted because there was a reason for everything.

The common areas are like in a museum. Amazing. The dinner we had was great, staff was amazing. Also the surrounding garden is wonderful.
