We missed having a towel rack or dryer for wet swimsuits – it would have been very helpful. Also, after moving the sofa slightly to make the room more comfortable for us, we noticed it wasn’t perfectly clean underneath – nothing serious, but worth mentioning. If we were to be a bit picky, we also missed the option to plug in bedside lamps to read in bed at night. These are only small details and didn’t overshadow the overall quality of our stay – we truly enjoyed it and will definitely return. One more thing to note: someone consistently parked their car right in front of the apartment entrance. It wasn’t a big issue, but perhaps it could be addressed in the future.

We’ve already stayed at Stara Škola three times. We truly appreciate the location, the calm atmosphere, and the kind staff. The access to the pool and the delicious breakfasts are real highlights.

One of the rooms in our apartment was a bit narrow so you couldn’t open the door to the wardrobe fully. Apart from that, the accommodation is perfect.

We loved the atmosphere of the place. The views, nature, the pool and the friendly staff made for a great weekend retreat. The apartment was clean, recently renovated. The hotel also provides you with information about the best route to take to get to it which is really kind and helpful. Hiša Torkla, a real treat of a restaurant, is also only 5 min away on foot. Would recommend.

Because I liked the pool, I got up half an hour earlier the next morning to swim a little before breakfast. Unfortunately, I found out that the pool doesn't open until 10 a.m. and I was very disappointed.

A beautiful, quiet location in a romantic Istrian village, where there is also an excellent Korte restaurant. The hotel is nicely decorated, the room is large enough and pleasantly cool, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is also fine. I liked the pool the most, which is big enough to swim in.

There are no beaches at the sea. Stay at the pool. Even though beaches are marked on the map, they do not exist. People lie on the pavement instead. Nothing negative to say about the hotel.

Reality agreed to description in offer. Pleasant place to stay, very quiet, we were there just at the beginning of season (June 2024). Nice clean swimming pool. Great breakfast. Hotel is in small village, there is a nice (a bit pricier) restaurant walking distance and one Michelin star restaurant next to it. Place more for peaceful holiday, no kids playground or kids corner on premises.

The swimming pool and terrace were wonderful. The breakfast area was delightful. Breakfast offerings very good. The air conditioning worked fabulously. The hot water and shower pressure the greatest. Rooms totally quiet - no noise from hall or other rooms whatsoever.

We had had a wonderful experience in this hotel. The staff were friendly, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, the location is exceptionally quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The highlight of our stay was definitely the beautiful pool area, which was impeccably maintained and provided a serene spot to unwind. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

The location is superb, there's a terrific view of the surroundings and the seaside is also just a short drive away. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent, the people working there are really nice and the rooms are, although basic, clean, tidy and well organised.

Unfortunately there was no warm water in the shower the last evening of our stay. We don't know what happened. Internet was not working in our room during the first day but that's really not a big deal. They get it repaired the next day.

We liked the hotel's style, the landscape was a little bit like Tuscany. Quiet place, lovely village, perfect to escape from the modern world and to charge the batteries. The breakfast was great and the young lady at the reception was very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is in an exceptional location. Beautiful surroundings near the town of PIRAN. The room was rather standard, but it was equipped with air conditioning, which was a big plus given the hot weather. The absolutely perfect and luxurious breakfast included in the accommodation price was a great end to our short stay.

Zen place. Good breakfast, beautiful terrace with outdoor pool and a nice view. I recommend Hiša Torkla for a romantic dinner (5 minute walking distance). We will definitely come back.

Nothing. Although rooms were small there was larger rooms/apartments available. But as we were only stay two nights we were happy with our rooms. People staying for a week or longer may find hotel remote if you did not have a car. But in no way is this a criticism of the property. we thought the place was great

Booked whilst still in Zell um See the night before our arrival. Hotel exceeded our ex[pectation as it was in the hills around Izola, in renovated three buildings with swimming pool. Breakfast room was delightful and a well stocked breakfast was provided each morning. Because this was an old building the rooms were small doubles and bathroom was down the hall way, but for our use only. As for location, resort was 15mins drive from Izola and a great drive.

Even though it is a very out of the way place, there was an event at the property and everyone was parked just outside our window, so it was noisy late at night as they left. Sunday morning church bells ring for a few minutes. The church is next to the parking area.

Spacious room/ apartment. Nice amenities. Very modern bathroom Good breakfast (extra cost). Nice staff. Awesome views. Two excellent restaurants within walking distance. Pool would be great in warm season. Bikes and helmets available for rent. Very relaxing place. Easy parking.
