I loved my stay at Penzion Rožič. Janja was amazing - so hospitable with a wonderful sense of humor. The lodging is comfortable and clean, and the location is perfect for access to the lake and sights and outdoor activities nearby. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious - highly recommend the goulash. The morning breakfast buffet had a variety of options - my favorites being the homemade appleasauce and plum jam. Highly recommend spending a few nights at Penzion Rožič. .

The accommodation is quite basic. The bedding could do with an upgrade and the bathrooms could also do with some work. I think the price is fair given the location but a bit of work would really make all the difference.

The location is what makes this hotel worth staying. Very close to Lake Bohinj which was simply stunning. We found this area far prettier, less busy and cheaper than Lake Bled. The lake is better in every respect other than not having a fancy castle. The host Janja was very friendly, incredibly helpful (with some lunches for our day trip) and seems to work 24/7. You genuinely can't fault the service and location. Do the 14km trek around the lake - At the far end of the lake is a river (Savica) and by this there is a beautiful area to sunbathe and take a dip in the lake. We enjoyed the quirky decor. There's also a field opposite the hotel where kids kicked a ball about. We didn't try the restaurant but did have a burger at the hotel next door which was excellent.

The staff was very attentive and helpful, fast. The location was excellent. Food was local, homey and tasty. Loved it, or rather the vegetarian options of it. Beds were comfy. I could roll down the shades so I was sleeping in technical darkness plus no noise, which I also do at home. So yey😃👌 Parking space ready for us.

The property is great, however with it being summer, I found the duvet far too warm. Luckily I had a sarong to use as a sheet to sleep with. A think a light blanket or a sheet would be more comfortable.

The room is situated above a great little restaurant and it is perfectly located. A short walk to the lake, bus stop and the supermarket is just across the road.

Shower drainage didn’t work well, and there is nowhere to hang anything whilst in the shower, a hook on the door could even be good, and a shelf in the shower. Also soap would be useful

It's comfortable and basic but location wins mostly!!

Friendly staff - this lady handles the whole apartment block on her own with a smile and an efficiency second to nothing. Of course location is 10/10!! Can't get better than this.. We.alsonhad dinner her twice...it's excellent and great value for money. Will certainly recommend it!!

Ended up being too small for us -- which is our fault and not the fault of the host because this is a pensione, after all, and not an apartment -- but the quantity of stairs should have been disclosed as this could be a problem for anyone with problems carrying luggage up a few flights of stairs.

Lovely host and great on-site restaurant! (Even if you end up not staying here, would definitely recommend stopping by for dinner.) The balcony was a very nice feature.

The host was extremely friendly, we really enjoyed our days here. Its location is excellent, just right at the lake, close to the small local market and other facilities too. The pension’s restaurant offers delicious food and great coffee too. Bonus point that they are dog friendly, with no additional fees for your dog. We will come back!😊

The innkeeper is exceptionally friendly and helpful! During this stay, I was much higher-maintenance than I usually am - early check-in, late buses, even needing to extend our stay at Lake Bohinj last-minute - and she rolled through all of this with cheer. It's hard to stay much closer to the lake than here! Our room was rustic and basic, everything you need and nothing you don't. Not ideal for someone looking for a lazy resort week, but great for us wanting a basecamp for active days. The attached restaurant is great too, low-key and high-quality.

The accommodation surprised us in a nice way. It’s kinda the ‘mountain B&B’ style that I fondly remember from my childhood trips, so I really did not mind that it’s not all super new - it fits well in the area and it was clean. It has a really nice vibe! Breakfasts were very nice with local products and freshly made eggs on request. Very friendly staff. If you stay there, please, go eat dinner next door to the Foksner restaurant - I guarantee that you have not eaten better burgers in a long, long time! :)

Nothing major. If one wants to be picky, the style of the place itself is old-fashioned, but then check the pictures first. Maybe the fact that the pension is on top of a burger place, and you might get some smoke-smell into your room, when they start cooking, and if you keep the terrace window open. The WiFi is weakish.

The bathroom was in bad shape. The shower tub’s drain was plugged, the shower curtain was rusty, the towels had wholes, there was no soap dispenser at the shower.

It has excellent location with parking, and restaurant! Trout is very good. Few steps from Lake Bohinj, tourist office, grocery store, public transport. The beds were comfortable and apartment had a nice balcony overlooking the main street. We included breakfast to our reservation. Breakfast was super good, with homemade jam, eggs, one day with homemade pancake the other day sausages special of Slovenia. And different coffee drinks, tea supplemented all the great food!
