I love Celica. It is such a warm, inviting and amazing place to stay. The people that work there, the facilities and the location is what I really appreciate.

Was intrigued to stay in an old prison and the stylish conversion didn't disappoint. Really relaxed vibe, good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. Great value. Would definitely be my choice of accomodation if I stay in Ljubliana again.

The bathroom was not cleaned as often as it should be after so many people using it. Also, noise is a factor in the hostel.

It’s a very interesting place to stay. The distance from the centre is ideal and free parking opportunity is great. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was of good variety and abundant.

It was super nice that we could've leave our luggage before check in and spend time waiting for the room. Also after check out, we left our luggage and even stayed in common room till late night, since our bus was at late night. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Other guests left the shared bathroom a mess (water on floor, hair in sink, no toilet paper). Our room had a ladder that was noisy and difficult to climb. A longer walk to most restaurants and sites (most things in the old town area are 20 minutes walk in a presentation only area)

Lots of cool options to hang out indoors and out, nice rooms, and a nice breakfast. Close to museums and the ethnographic Cafe.

My bunk was really awkward to get into. I found it very difficult to climb up (fell once). I was just unlucky that I got that one though as all the cells are laid out differently.

When we arrived by car it was not clear how to enter the block. You could mention that you have to push the button to open the gate. It would be easier to receive two keys per room.

Very strange smell in our cell. One can use to it, but... I would not recommend for longterm stay, but for one nigth OK.

We found it as very interesting concept of accomodation. Prison turned into a hostel, nice idea. Kind of artistic flavour in all individual cells. Bathrooms clean and modern.

There was quite a bad smell in the room, it was only noticeable when entering the room each time before becoming used to it. Perhaps it’s to be expected with the type of building it is in being an old prison.

Hostel was in an ideal location just a 5 minute walk from the central train/bus station. The building itself was very unique in the fact that it used to be an old prison. Breakfast was offered and the staff were really friendly, seems like it’s a good hostel for socialising too. Shared bathroom was spacious and clean.

Bathrooms didn’t have soap the whole first day, showers did also flood the whole bathroom floor from previous users. Location wasn’t too close to main areas. Could feel a bit intimidating walking back late at night as there wasn’t much open around the area.

Breakfast could be a little better with some pastries, but I’m being harsh. Also one small thing, the ladders into the beds, if some form of padding could be put on the ladders that would help make it less painful climbing in and out of the beds. But I’m being picky.

There was an odd smell in the room, we couldn't detect what it was.. bunk bed is a bit too high for my liking

Conveniently located just 10 min walk from the old city center, private parking available, the staff was nice and friendly, room was as described, toilets and showers were clean enough, breakfast was also ok. We really enjoyed the garden! All in all a positive experience and fun concept.

Just be aware that rooms are small (obviously, given that it’s an old prison) which was fine but being on the top bunk was pretty challenging as the ladders are not great - an uncomfortable climb up.

Property has a beautiful outdoor space with a garden bar and all amenities we needed. Very close to bus stop, car rental place, supermarkets, dragon bridge, etc. Very convenient to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Rooms and linens were clean.

Fabulous hostel.great staff, good location , nice breakfast , good bar , live music .. Can't complain would recommend a night in cells at Celica. 8 min walk via cute cobbled alleys to the square and market etc

The table in cell 119 has a wonky leg and one of the beds makes a disconcerting clunking noise when you move around on it.

The staff were great, breakfast was great and the location is close to the city centre.
