Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

PolandWe were surprised that there was no view from windows and that it was needed to keep all windows covered. Otherwise everything was really good. We enjoyed the place.
We really enjoyed the size of the venue The kitchen was very well equiped, we liked cosy design, and a very convenient location close to the town but still more in the nature.

AustriaWe booked the Cozy Istrian House, a two-bedroom property(80m²), for four nights at a cost of €286.11 using the Genius Discount. After booking, Maja informed us that the room was for eight people and asked if we would be willing to switch to a smaller room for four people(27m²). We asked for a reduced price of €200 if we were required to switch to a much smaller room, but Maja said that the price for a small room was €250 plus €15 for the dog. However, she later told us that the larger room was not booked out and agreed to let us stay in the larger room we had originally booked for the price of €286.11. When we arrived, Maja's mother told us that the larger room was not available, and we would have to stay in the smaller room(Apartments Baredi), but we insisted that we had already paid for the larger room( Cozy Istrian House, a two-bedroom). They eventually refunded us €21. The property was disappointing, not only due to the price we paid but also due to its condition. The house was quite old and dark, with limited lighting in the rooms, and the toilet shower was very small and poorly drained. The decor was eclectic, with many small pieces scattered around. It felt more like living in a storage room than a holiday home. Additionally, we felt that the description of the property was misleading. It's also listed on Booking.com as Apartments Baredi, it has 8.5 points, not 9.(I never booked anything under 9) and the description says it's 2.5km from the beach, but it's on top of a hill, and it takes a 10-minute drive to reach Izola. (someone in the comment (list as Apartments Baredi)said 3 minutes. I guess he jumped straight off the top of the hill).We wouldn't recommend it for those who want to be close to the beach or restaurants. Lastly, we want to clarify that our disappointment with the accommodation was not solely due to the price we paid.
The bed is comfortable, and the natural beauty surrounding the house makes up for the rest. If you don't have a car, this place really isn't for you
