As for the downsides, the bathroom cleanliness was poor – the faucets were never wiped and had an unpleasant buildup. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and the bed sheets had torn edges with loose threads hanging. Taking a shower was difficult, as the bathtub was in the room and there was no wall holder for the shower head. The sound insulation was poor, and there was no place to hang towels or swimsuits to dry after swimming.

We stayed at Villa Shale, and it was a cozy apartment. Towels were changed daily. There were no kettles or coffee makers in the rooms, but a refrigerator was provided. The air conditioning was also a big plus. A good breakfast was included in the stay, and parking was free. There was also a nice restaurant nearby.

We were in one of the villas where the bathroom was pretty outdated and things like flushing were not straight forward. The walls/ doors are also very thin and you can hear pretty much everything from other rooms.

Bath in the bathroom was not the most convenient to use when you wish to have a quick shower

Beautiful location, close to the beach - there is a shuttle bus to the beach for hotel residents, so you do not need to go down to the beach on foot. Comfortable beds and our room had a balcony with sea view

The pictures of the room we booked were not the same as we got. There are 2-3 different hotels in one, which was not clear on booking.com When we arrived we didn’t got a table to eat for dinner and when we done the reservation for dinner next evening for my birthday, they “forgot”. At the end we’ve got a table but how the situation was, was not really client friendly… there was no additional effort to make the table nice for a bday even when we aligned before. The room was not bad but not the same as we booked. It looked completely different. And was a standard lower.

The quality of the rooms is very uneven. My mother stayed in one of the villas and I was in another. Her room was modern and had been updated while mine was likely the same as it was since it was in Yugoslavia and it felt very dated. I also didn't like that you had to pay extra for any additional amenities at the pool, such as an umbrella or a towel. And the pool bar prices were ridiculous. 4 bucks for a Magnum ice cream bar. But the pool itself was nice.

Location is nice. The pool is great. The shuttle to the sea (can't really call it a beach, since it is rocky) is great, and so is the swimming in the sea. We didn't take advantage of all the amenities that the resort had to offer, but they had a lot of stuff. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, if a bit of a zoo at peak hours.

Yet again, the Hotel Belvedere had been a profoundly magical experience for us. This was our third consecutive annual visit here during the summertime, and they managed to prove their value in many aspects. This year however, we decided to give the dinning option a try - again, the beef that had been prepared was indeed tasty, perfectly marinated and cooked as well as all the other options (sides, deserts etc.) that were at our disposal at the buffet. Considering that we don’t have that high (in quantity) intake, the 22€ per person dinner price was a bit steep for us… But on the other hand, if you are a person that can get higher value out of a (basically all you can eat) buffet, then it’s still one of the best options for you, compared to the price range in all of the restaurants nearby. Everyone who is working there are super nice and every year we are excited to see them again❤️ Maybe we are lucky but every year even the room is ready before 15:00. And we sure will come back nex year. Wish them all the best🍀❤️

I have nothing to add, may be I would like to have more sweet deserts during the breakfast, so local cakes or pastry.

Room was little bit of smaller for 3 person, but at the end it was ok, for stay and sleep, view from the room was nice, see side of the Villa Loret. Room was clean and tidy, cleaning service doing a good job. Room was also air conditioned, which was also very helpful during these hot days. Parking close to the building, also no issue there. Shuttle bus to beach was also very useful and drivers were nice and very helpful, really thumbs up for this service. Breakfast I would say standard. But I have to point out nice view from the restaurant terrace, really wonderful. We did use also pool, which was clean and tidy also big plus for the facility. Overall we did enjoy stay at the facility.

Bathroom on the other hand was small and had an old typical style with mediocre fittings. Toiletries were not provided. Shower area needs improvement. Unlike showers of hotels where you actually enjoy showering, here you would just want to get done as quickly as possible. No complimentary water bottle(s) in the room. Pillows were not so comfortable either. At least they didn't suit my head. Since it's on the hill and far from city, you need a car or taxi to go around. Last but not least, it can get really noisy because of other guests. Try not to take ground floor if possible.

Hotel Resort is located on top of the hill with a beautiful view of the sea. That's the best part of it. Other than that, room was okay in my opinion. It was renovated and a bit spacious as well, but looked quite simple and ordinary. Breakfast was good and staff was generally polite except one lady who made a face when I asked if they have maple syrup to put on pancakes :) Also, pool area was clean and big enough to enjoy your space.

Wifi worked poorly. There was very little room for the clothes in the room.

The hotel is clean and recently renovated. The scenery is spectacular. Breakfast is great. The dinner was also delicious. Izola is worth a visit.
