How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only minus is it is located above the main road which can make it noisy outside but that is not noticeable when the doors and windows are shut.
Lovely apartment with great facilities and a very comfortable bed. Really enjoyed the bedroom balcony and outdoor seating as well as the welcome gift. Well equipped kitchen and light, airy, comfortable dining/living room.

THe owner of the property was very kind, the equipment of the apartment was amazing, there was everything, even blisters.View on see and palm. Quiet area, good parking, not too far from centre. Beds comfortable, fully equiped kitchen.

Only scratch on this perfect place is localization, close to the road with some traffic. When you sit on a terrace or in the garden, in the evening, there is some noticeable noise. That didn't bother too much, but yet was noticeable.
Everything was perfect. Apartment is big, well equiped, comfortable. Nice garden. There is washer and dryier, very important when you travel with baby.

The apartmant was very comfortable with big bed. The location is superb and there is main bus station not that far away for people who want to use bus to travel and check other towns. Owner is very polite and a good person, big respect. My girlfriend and i recommend this place 10/10, we had a good stay!

We had an amazing time in Portoroz. The apartment was very clean and cosy. The host was exceptional, very friendly, kind and supportive in case we needed help! The nights were quite and relaxing, we did not hear any street noise whatsoever because the bedroom was situated away from the busy street. We will definitely come back, thanks for the great time.

Very friendly owner, beautiful place, outstanding sea view from the apartment. Everything like on the pictures. We received a bottle of champagne at the arrival. My mother had a birthday during our visit, and on that day the owner bring her a big cake in the morning. It was very surprising in a good way and make our vacation even more memorable. We will come back again I'm sure.

The helpful host met us as we arrived and showed us our apartment which was more spacious and lovely than the photos showed. The interior of the apartment is well equipped for cooking meals and it even had a bath. Views from the lounge area and the terrace were beautiful, especially at sunset.

The walk up the hill (can’t be helped though and a small pride to pay for the view)
Super apartment with great facilities. Our host, Nina, was very friendly and helpful and the parking was easy to find/access.

Up hill to property but not too bad.

The place is absolutely perfectly clean, beautiful and comfortable, and the person checking us in and out was very really kind. We felt welcomed and positively surprised. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful and comfy the place is. I would totally recommend it!

It's perfectly located in a peaceful and quiet street, but not far from the city centre and the beach. Great for families. The apartment had all utilities necessary to make the stay comfortable. The owner was kind an very helpful.
