It was really cold the first night, even with the extra blanket, and there was no way to turn up the heating.

One improvement would be the addition of a small fridge in the rooms or at least a shared one within the accommodation — it would have been useful for storing drinks or snacks and medication. An air conditioner would also have made a significant difference, as the room tended to get quite warm. While there were windows that could be opened for ventilation, they faced directly onto the street, which made it less safe to leave them open while we were out or overnight.

The location was excellent — right in the heart of the city, with restaurants and shops just a short walk away. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds that made for a restful stay. The accommodation was thoughtfully equipped with towels and sanitary items. Check-in was seamless, and communication with the host was prompt and helpful. Overall, a convenient and comfortable place to stay — highly recommended.

The room was clean and comfortable, and at a very good location in the city. Everything was fairly close and within reach. Also liked the automated check-in and check-out.

The walls were quite thin so I could hear when people were talking in other rooms. This didnt bother me much, since during the night people respected the quiet.

We missed a fridge somewhere in the common rooms. The bells of the church can be heard till midnight. If there are many people, you will have to wait for the shower.

The rooms are nice and cosy, equipped with a kettle, etc. Located directly in the city centre. The rooms were really clean.

WiFi didn’t work good. There is no kitchen at this hostel

Place is very comfortable. There was a kettle in the room with tea and coffee. What I appreciate is a personal hair dryer, slippers and a small mirror for the make up. Bathrooms are detailed with small personal belongings like cotton swabs and hygiene products for women's days. Everything was very clean. The best thing is that room was very warm.

Some guests from Macedonia or Albania, I am not sure, they behaved as if they own a place without regard to other guests.

The hospitality of the lady Tamara is beyond compare, warm lady. She let me stay a bit over my check-out time since it was quite cold and freezing, my bus was in the afternoon.

The host was very rude towards us; she wrote in a message on Booking to let her know 30 minutes before we arrive so she can get there and prep everything, which is what we planned on doing as per her request but then at some point during the day she called us and rudely yelled that we should have given her the approximate time of when we were coming (which she never mentioned; if she had ever asked it, we would've told her). Then we arrived 10 minutes before the planned time which we told her about several hours prior and she said she isn't nearby yet and can't help us (because we wanted to leave our bags inside before going to search for parking). She also wasn't very helpful when we asked about parking. Then the person who was supposed to meet us ended up being 7 minutes late (we said we'd arrive at 20:00, originally we got there at 19:50, then again at 19:59 after finding parking nearby by sheer luck, and waited until 20:07 with all of our stuff out in the cold). The owner's daughter came in the end and she was very polite and nice, but it didn't change the negative experience we had up until that point. In terms of facilities; the shower holder was broken and the room walls could use repainting. Also, the air in the room was VERY DRY and you aren't allowed to touch the thermostat which didn't help with the dry air. Overall for the price it was okay and it would've been an 8 or a 9, but the owner's original attitude made me have to bring the whole rating down by a grade.

The location is in the city center itself, which was great. The room provided everything we needed and it was all fairly clean. Bonus is that there were 2 (albeit shared) bathrooms so we never really had to wait on other guests.

It was hot as hell, I had to sleep naked and still I was sweating every night. You can't regulate the heating yourself. They have to put some extra thin blankets, the thick duvet was way too hot.

A spacious bedroom, clean and tidy, bed is ok, bathroom is good. Everything you need if you're going to stay a short time in the centre of Maribor for work or pleasure.

Check-in worked fine for us, we called 30 mins ahead of time and the owner was there to let us in. I can see how that could be a hassle for some travellers but we can all find wifi somewhere. It was really a very minor inconvenience. I want to confirm that despite what some reviews say, there isn't any kitchen facilities here. There's just a kettle and some tea and coffee, as stated in the description. I knew this when I booked but the other reviews made me hope. I still totally recommend this place.

Value for money, location, and comfort. The room had everything you could expect for the money. The lady who showed us around was very polite and helpful. She explained that there was an issue with the internet but her son created a workaround and it worked perfectly for us. The place is right in the centre and easy to access. Parking could be a challenge but we found a space on a nearby street. It was the cheapest accommodation when we booked it but it was really solid.

one minor thing was my phone couldnt get through to the owner for arranging the keys.That was probably my networks fault as the lady at tourist info got through no problem and arranged everything.

The sounds from the outside courtyard can be quite loud, as are the bells of a nearby church. I recommend bringing ear plugs.

The guest house had all of the usual amenities and more - a nice surprise were menstrual products and band aids in the bathroom. A kettle was also available as well as a mug, glass and a set of teas and a hairdryer. The location was also great. Sharing the bathroom and WC was not an issue, within the 4-day stay I did not see a single person.

Central but calm location, beautiful old building nearby a park. Staff was super friendly (we only met in the beginning but got a phone number to call to in case of any issues). The room was cozy and clean. Coffee and electric kettle was a nice plus.

For a budget option, it's really good. You might need to wait to get into the shower!

Budget option in a great location in Maribor, clean and friendly. Quiet, undisturbed sleep.
