Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing, other than we got a group of drunk men partying outside our room but all we needed to do was the ring the information desk and they got security to sort out straight away.....couldnt ask for more so thank you. Quiet after that.
I didnt really know what to expect, first time on a ship, but we loved it! Cabins were clean and much more comfortable than we expected. Service excellent from start to finish! Ship had lots of facilities and the shows were absolutely amazing! Loved watching them every night, especially the pop party show and flowers and friendship bracelets. . We actually booked this cruise twice and had four nights, so glad we did. Restaurants lovely and service/staff brilliant. The views were beautiful as were Stockholm and Helsinki. Not somewhere I would have thought to go but so glad we did.

HungaryIt was hard to get to the ship because of the road working and the city maraton.
It was great everything. It is an elegant and big ship, but you can not get lost because there are a lot of signs everywhere. There are store, bars, restaurants, play rooms for children. There are casino and show at evening (sing and dance), and big screen to whatc football. Decks (front and back) are aviable and you can see the sunset. The price is included not only the accommodation but the travel fee :-) But the other things are not cheap.

TaiwanThe Gabrielle is a little aged and the window of the cabinet is not quite clear.
It's a good value and more fun to take the mini cruise to Helsinki than stay two nights in hotel of Stockholm. The buffet dinner with magnificent sunset view of the Stockholm archipelago is marvelous.

United KingdomGreat value for the money. Everything was clean, no hand soap in the dispenser so we had to use the shower soap dispenser. The tv barely had any channels, the drinks at the bars were reasonably priced, the food was a bit more expensive. The timings of opening and closing of restaurants could have been better displayed. Pricing for the restaurants could also be online. Check in could have been made clearer as we did not know how to do it as the machine did not work for us, as we booked through booking, luckily the woman at the counter helped us check in. Would come back as it was a good experience for a good price.

Ireland. The only disappointing aspect was the breakfast in the Coffee & Joy . The only thing you could call a breakfast ( other than cakes) was porridge which I love normal, but this was not porridge as I know it. Not sure what it was. Breakfasts were advertised in the 'Al le Carte' restaurant , but the prices were not for an average family’s affordability
There was a good selectiion of activities and services to choose from in the Bar & Resturants

NetherlandsWifi was a bit slow but there was enough to do on board that it really didn’t matter
We loved everything! The rooms were so well equipped and cozy, the ship docked really centrally in both Stockholm and Helsinki, the facilities onboard were fantastic including really reasonably priced and excellent restaurant options and we loved seeing the cities from a whole new perspective! Sailing through the fjords was an absolute treat! Lastly, as someone who regularly gets seasick I was a little apprehensive, but the crossing was so smooth you wouldn’t even know you were sailing! I cannot recommend this more, such a unique and fun way of exploring the Nordics!
