How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

If a Saturday night, probably best to be at back of hotel. Noise can travel from bars opposite the hotel. Or just pack earplugs:)

The size of the bathroom: it's a bit small. The corridors and some parts of the building look a bit improvised.
The room was comfortable. I liked the location and the back yard garden as well as the building itself are pretty beautiful.

One bathroom had an issue: if you locked it, you needed someone to help you get out, because the lock wouldn’t open easily from the inside.

Room was clean and comfortable although a bit old fashioned.
Within a very short walking distance of Haga old town. Very accessible for city centre as well. Breakfast was well presented with lots of choice. Tea ,coffee is available all day.

The room.itself needs to be refurbished with those current dated furniture. Apart this thing, my stay was smooth and there's nothing to complain about..
First off, The location is excellent as there are shops, restaurants, bars, supermarket nearby and easily accesible by means of transportation as Bus and Tram. The city center is within walking distance. The personnel was polite, friendly and overall helpful and let me store my backpack after checkout during my sightseeing in Gothenburg. Breakfast was a plus and that was good.

If you happen to have a room on the 1st floor with windows to the inner yard - it might be quite noisy because of people gathering and talking there, you really hear every wisper. Not a problem in a rainy weather though.
Good breakfast, no noise from traffic or similar. Great staff, great location.

No fridge in the room. Not too much space for luggage/shelf space. The breakfast room was not very clean and too little space, on the first morning there was no table available when we arrived.
The room was tidy and clean, and the bathroom was above expectations, spatious and clean.

Undergoing a well needed reconstruction. Noisy form early in the morning and dirty hallways. But sure it’s gonna be worth it once done.
Very helpful and welcoming staff, good breakfast and really nice with a cup of coffee available during the day too. Perfect location close to the avenue and good solution to for the car parking. Very(very) good value for the money.

Fridge could be cleaner but this is a minor detail.
Everything was perfect. Simple but very tasty breakfast, the staff was always eager to help, free tea and coffee and rooms was very cosy.

Part of hotel seems being under construction. Dining room should be better heated.
Location is the best advantage of this hotel. Most city sights are within walking distance. Free coffee machine usage and waffles are great. Kudos to hotel management.

We originally reserved Vasa, there was a water leak situation on the day of our arrival and they very quickly organised transfer of our reservation to their sister hotel Arena. Quick nice communication, problem perfectly solved. Arena offered very tasty breakfast, good location, friendly ladies on a reception and unlimited supply of tea, coffee, juice and cookies. We enjoyed this experience.

Our particular bathroom had ventilation issues.

Pillows were too small length ways and too big height wise. Room lacked some air circulation
