It wasn't that clean. You have to clean yourself before you check out which is no problem but we had to clean the room when we got there because it was very dusty. So we cleaned twice

It's a Vandrarhem......it met those expectations with no complains

Vadstena is a very traditional STF Vandrarhem. Pay extra if you don't bring your own sheets. But the price is right. A great place to mingle with other travelers. The guest kitchen is well equiped with 2 sets of stoves, sinks and fridges. We came just after high season so they had stopped serving breakfast. The tourist attractions, restaurants and grocery store are within a comfortable walk. The facility used to be an old people's home, so is designed with nice common spaces including a porch for sitting and some apple trees to lay under in summer. Vadstena has an important story to tell about Vasa and the reformation. Some of the village and many buildings are renovated from the middle ages. The lake setting is stunning. Great place to start without the frills and high price of most lodging

Didn’t expect to pay for the bedsheets, towel etc. Price is 25% of the room price, pr set. Self cleaning of the room next day, if not done, add another 40% of the room price. Non of this info, was available before a non refundable booking. It’s feels like being cheated. No breakfast available, kitchen available. Altogether, for a couple, it’s almost cheaper to book any other hotel in Vadstena. Shared bathroom…. If you bring your own linen and clean the room, it’s a fair price. If not, it’s not worth the stay….

Central for my trip. Everything very clean. Slept well The very brief good morning with the staff, was pleasant. Nice atmosphere.

Directly next to the main street, a little bit noisy during busy times, which is luckily not to long.

Beds were a little soft. You also have to rent sheets which was in the booking paperwork but not clear when we did book.

It is a very basic hostel lodge which was all we wanted for our stay. It was an easy walk to the center of town and the castle.

You pay for the room, non refundable then they tell you it’s an extra charge for linen, a towel and they’ll charge you for cleaning if you don’t do it up to their specifications which is ambiguous. So you’re 1000 SEK room will be an extra 350 for cleaning and 150 for linen. No this is a scam. Heaters also didn’t work so it was freezing, especially after a rain day your stuff will still be wet. Also never saw any staff

The rooms were very tidy and cleaned. Beds were assume, family of 5 persons in 3 different rooms slept very well. It was quiet. All the general areas, like kitchen area, hallways, corridors, toilets and shower, all places were very tidy and cleaned. We woke up in the early morning and the host had opened windows letting fresh air coming. So fresh and welcoming! The hosts were very kind and helpful. The location is very close to the main street and all culture places. We sat on the veranda for evening talk, this was very nice and relaxing. There were blankets to wrap around you if you got a little cold. Also candle lantern to lit for coziness. This is a fantastic hostel which I really can recommend!
