The property’s architecture, style, cleanliness, location and facilities were incredible and impeccable! The room and building interior was absolutely beautifully decorated and it felt luxurious, and elegant, maintaining the old school train station charm with a modern touch. The room had high ceilings, lovely windows that let in so much natural light, even on the darker days. It was comfortable spending time in the room due to the space and seating available, as well as the perfectly comfortable bed. It was such a pleasure coming back to the room at the end of the day and just relaxing. The dining area for breakfast was beautiful and spacious, everything laid out well and accessible on the ground floor. There’s also a lift as well as stairs, again, offering some accessibility. Next door was a large communal lounge area (Where we took some wedding photos - see attached), which had big windows and lots of comfy seating if you wanted a change of scenery. We got married locally and found it the perfect distance from the old town hall where we had a very small elopement ceremony. It’s a very short walk to the main centre but also right next to the sea, so you’re able to walk along and watch the Ferry’s come in and just hear the sound of the ocean. It was super affordable for what you get! The staff were kind, and attentive, but gave you your space. They made sure everyone had everything they needed. The breakfasts were lovely. The downstairs dining room turns into an excellent restaurant in the evening with outdoor seating too. Owned by someone else but linked with the restaurant. You don’t have far to go for a wonderful meal and cocktails. Would love to go back there again. It would be my hotel of choice when we eventually return! Would highly recommend.

Perfect location for the train station and Port. Very unique building which has been very sympathetically renovated in keeping with the original use of the building. Excellent breakfast.

Like the five places we stayed in Sweden, the TV options at Stationen are very limited, especially for English speakers. There is no staff on duty in the afternoon, so if there are any difficulties or wanting a recommendation, there is no one to help you on site-all phone. It wasn't clear that a code was needed to enter after the staff had left for the day.

For visiting Ystad, Stationen, we think it is perfect. Location is ideal-close to the ferry, close to the tourist office, close to the old town attractions, close to the Wallander trail, close to area sights like Ales Stener. Our room was spacious by Swedish standards and well appointed. It overlooked one of the ferry terminals which provided some activity interest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant breakfast buffet had typical Swedish food though more than most( we know as we visited several relatives). If you like history, Stationen is like taking a step back in time though in a modern way. It is right next to the active railroad station, but the trains are electric so there is no noise to speak of--didn't bother sleep at all.

Nothing, it suited us very well.

Impressively restored station building, high ceilinged rooms, well located for the coastal walking route and town centre, good breakfast. Large communal sitting room and small kitchen also available.

    I liked everything.

The location is great. If you arrive at Ystad by train and plan to continue to Bornholm, this spot is perfect for you. Less than two minutes to the train station and to the ferry terminal as well. The hotel is pretty charming in an old-fashioned way. Breakfast was good.

Its a perfect stay for 1, 2 nights in Ystad and travel on. The location is very good next to train station and just a little walk away from the harbour or the centre. Especially I liked the view onto incoming ferries :)... Nice clean private bathrooms and very good breakfast too!

We arrived after 17.00h so we knew there would be no one to greet us. It was no problem as we were given an entry code and our room key was left at reception.

Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of fruit juice, breads, cheese, eggs and fish including smoked salmon and various salads. The restaurant in the same building but under different management is also highly recommended. Make sure you book in advance - it gets very busy and we had to wait for a table. We stayed one night before taking the ferry to Bornholm. It was very convenient - only about 5 mins drive to the ferry and there was easy parking right by the hotel.

The bathroom was separated from the room. The bathrooms are on the other side of the corridor, locked with a door code so you’re the only one using it, but it means getting out of your room to get to it. I had view on the water but from a harbour perspective

Delightful newly renovated hotel with a lot of charm. Right at the train station so super easy to find and no need to walk. Communication and instructions were good and clear. Nice breakfast. Very quiet and nice

Cannot even come up with anything here, but I would want to ask fellow travellers to be patient towards the lift

This whole place is a piece of art. I typically prefer quirky places to standard hotels, so living in a repurposed 19 century railway station is exactly in the area of what I would be enthusiastic about The location is perfect either, and I had a nice view Also, the hotel's restaurant did not disappoint either, while I usually recommend people to explore options outside their hotel, it is not the case here - both atmosphere and food are perfect there
