Comfortable bed, everything clean and brand new. Excellent breakfast. Location next-door to Castle, and a few minutes from central Vadstena.

No elevator - might be only one flight up, but not everyone can or wants to haul their suitcase up. Room had only one tiny window, mansard style - not sure why, as two walls were on the outside of the building.ade the room hot at night. No dedicated parking - we were told to 'park anywhere you want.' Not too sure about possible fines. Price is over the top - perhaps because this was a last-moment booking, but definitely not worth the SEK 2,000 we paid.

    Location

We had a problem with a/c didn’t working in our room but the staff was very kind helping us to find a solution. We moved to a sister hotel that worked fine. No real vegan food available in the restaurant. We got something vegan but just simple vegetables. No source of protein.

    Nice bathroom.

I'm not sure if the high price was due to the Vätternrundan event, but it was still far too expensive for what was offered. For 2500 SEK per night, the breakfast was surprisingly poor. The lighting in my room (no. 16) was very dim and unpleasant — the few lamps provided were not enough. The restaurant menu was okay, but it would have been nice to have a few more options. I don’t usually watch TV, but after a 315 km race, I just wanted to relax — having only five channels didn’t help.

    Property response:

Hej Rafal, We have a dynamic pricesetting depending on the market. As this is one of biggest days of the year the prices in Vadstena is higher. As we are a small boutiquehotel, the lamps should not be to light as it should be cozy, it is a part of the decor and style of the hotel. Warm welcome back!
