The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel offered one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The location was very convenient for all attractions. The room was basic, but clean and more spacious than one would expect for this price. It was all over a very pleasant stay.

The hotel in general seems a bit run down (from the elevators to the room itself). The room was relatively cold (temperature-wise), and I could not find a thermostat to increase the temperature myself.

The hotel is in a very central location, in front of a commercial center with many shops. The breakfast buffet was compact and nice, opening already at 6:30. The check-in and -out procedure was very simple and short. The courtesy of the staff is to be remarked.

Our room was on the small side. But we were late booking and that was the last room. Had all the things you needed though.

The breakfast was fantastic, almost the highlight of my day! :) Wide range of traditional swedish foods, cheeses, meats, beautiful breads, hotcakes, fruit, cereals, as well as hot foods, eggs, beans, oatmeal, on and on.............I'd go back just for the breakfast There was also a gym. Location of hotel was excellent, only a short walk from Train Station.

I was disappointed with the bunk beds (taken down from the wall), they were not very comfortable and the room was much smaller than shown on photo. One of the bed lamps was broken (possibly why there was another lamp next to the bed). The shower wasn't great, as the water would easily splash out in the bathroom.

The breakfast buffet was very varied and delicious, includint vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free options. Plus, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room are a bit bare and stripped-down, but ok. The hotel applies a policy of reducing water and energy consumption by offering to forego daily room cleaning. For me it is excellent to be able to choose this option, however I find that a small symbolic incentive should also be offered to the customer, for example a small discount. Otherwise it all sounds a bit hypocritical.

In the very center of the city (everything at walking distance), excellent breakfast, wide choice and very good quality, wonderful staff, easily accessible, price is definitely reasonable.

The room felt a bit sterile. I think it was the lighting--kinda of more cold than warm toned. So very minor, but keeps the hotel from being a 10-start "amazing!" because it was lacking some warmth and charm. The bathroom was also a touch small, which was fine for me as a solo traveler, but I'm guessing for a couple, they would find it small. These are both tiny quibbles though. You're not supposed to be spending much time in your hotel when you're traveling! And parking is not included in the price, just FYI

The Scandic Hotel is in a great location, just one block off the main pedestrian-drag. The breakfast was FANTASTIC--I'm talking, a huge table just for breads, huge table just for smörgås toppings, huge table just for pancakes and oatmeal and sausages and other eggs, and even a section with gluten free and dairy free choices. They also had a sauna (bastu) in the basement, though I was only there one night so I was not able to use it. There was plenty of room in the lobby area for sitting during the day or at night, if you wanted a more communal space to be instead of in your room.

Due to the hot weather my room was quite hot, unfortunately only one window could be opened and there was no AC. In the bathroom only soap and shampoo were available, no body lotion, conditioner whatsoever... But the highlight comes last: there were 4 small bloodstains on my sheet, one of them with a dead mosquito inside. Since I realised it only shortly before I wanted to go to bed, I had to sleep in the bed as well. It got changed the next day, but no compensation was offered.

Nicely situated in the center of Uppsala. Breakfast was really good with a large variety of standard and Swedish breakfast options. Staff was very friendly.
